  1. Biggio sucks for 3 years running: "Bring him back!" Espinal has a rough 200 PAs this year: "He sucks! Cut him!"
  2. Productive ABs by the end of the lineup here.
  3. If Schneider continues to OPS over 1.400 while the rest of the team is in the .600s and we make the playoffs I think we need to start having discussions about whether he should be the MVP over Ohtani.
  4. I have that thing memorized by now. Jesse Pinkman trying to get me to gamble my life away. I don't think so pal.
  5. 2.14 ERA in 21 innings against the Jays. 5.15 overall. So he's got to be close to a 6 ERA against everyone but us lol
  6. Good AB by Vlad, he laid off the borderline pitches
  7. Opposing teams fear Babe Schneider
  8. The flyouts to CF seem to be a thing but how do you explain the hitting with RISP? They are 12th overall by various batting metrics but drop to 25th or so with RISP. I can't figure out how to find the numbers without runners in scoring position but I bet it's Top 8 or better. How does a Top 10 hitting team suddenly turn into one of the worst when there are runners on base? That has to be luck?
  9. Yep. Schneider needs to manage this game with MUCH more urgency than he did yesterday. He gave Berrios a bunch of rope and it burned him after Ruiz hit the three run bomb. We've got a deep bullpen that is rested. It's time to use it.
  10. Nats Lineup: Who cares
  11. Jays Lineup: Babe Schneider and:
  12. Yeah all it would take is two hitters waking up from their slumber (Vlad chief among them) and they are right in the thick of it.
  13. After the year is over I think we should rank the 10 worst losses of the year. It can be a cathartic and healing experience. This one will be a strong contender for the top spot. Though I have a feeling we've got a few more to come.
  14. Here we go folks, it's his moment in the sun! Let's all let him enjoy it. If I may though, I would like to point out that your criticisms of the front office in May/June were almost entirely about how badly Atkins failed to build an elite bullpen lmao. And no one said the soft schedule would be "easy" in the sense that it guaranteed a playoff berth (unless you are counting the playoffs will be easy to make memers), we just said it would be "easier" which surely EVERYONE could agree with. I mean my god, the Nats, Rockies and A's are easier to play than the AL East right? The team was in a Wild Card position and had played a hard schedule so they would surely find themselves in a decent spot when the schedule softened up right? I mean the Mariners were a team out of contention and look what a soft schedule did for them. They even sold at the damn deadline lol.
  15. Is it time to stick a fork in 'em? Looking like it.
  16. Yeah seems like more are coming.
  17. Surely someone ahead of the Jays will take Giolito. If not I'd take him just to block the pitching starved Rangers from getting him. Assuming Gio is gone, If I'm the Jays I am claiming one of Moore or Lopez. Chad Green can come up for the additional roster spot and Moore or Lopez can replace Francis who can be optioned. Could be a marginal upgrade and a good block. As for the hitters, Renfroe and Bader would be good pickups. Could platoon with Belt/Varsho/KK in some sort of capacity as the additional roster guy. Grichuk kind of sucks I'd pass on him.
  18. All 5 of the Angels guys and Bader should get picked up IMO. With the expanded rosters coming up I think the Jays would probably kick the tires on all of them but I'm not sure how many will fall to them. Cubs, D-Bags, Giants, Reds, Marlins and Red Sox are the teams ahead of the Jays that are still in contention that will be able to pick through those guys before the Jays get their chance.
  19. Harrison Bader has been placed on waivers too.
  20. So what are the mechanics of them being on waivers? Goes in order of NL teams in reverse standings? Then AL? And if anyone claims they take on remaining salary? What if no one makes a claim?
  21. I cannot wait to start the Extend Ernie Clement thread after tonight's game.
  22. So Bo was out yesterday against a righty and a lefty today so we can kind of see what the plan is already and John Schneider is right, it is crazy with a lot of moving parts. vs RHP/vs LHP C: Jansen 1b: Vlad 2B: Whit/Schneider 3B: Schneider/Espinal SS: Clement LF: Varsho/Whit CF: Kiermaier RF: Springer DH: Belt/Kirk McCoy, Biggio and the other Catcher look to be more full-time bench players
  23. Yeah he his horrible. If you go back and read I've been harder on him than anyone. I think him at SS and Clement at 3B today with Espinal on the bench instead of McCoy would be a better lineup though.
  24. Okay yeah apparently there is no plan really lol Probably should have kept DeJong.
