    You have to put this into perspective.You're either buyers or sellers. If you're buyers, then you have to look at your needs short and long term.Glaring need is pitching and they addressed that. Paid a steep price but if they couldn't sign Ray next year, would they be comfortable going into next season with Ryu, Stripling,Manoah Matz in a division that's getting stronger. Now they would only have to sign one starter next year.

    I was thinking the same thing with Biggio and Smith. You've got 2 valuable assets in Semien and Ray that should yield a decent haul.

    Typical Boston win...losing 4-0 score 5 in the bottom of the 8th...outhit 9-5. When do the Jays ever do this. Win by 7 or more, lose by 1
