  1. Bonilla starting to heat up after a slow start. Average up to.296
  2. He was at this weight during spring training and pitched well enough to convince management to make him the opening day starter.
  3. On a positive note, after a slow start Bonilla is starting to heat up.
  4. s*** lineup vs one of the best pitchers in the league and they pull out a victory. Go figure.
  5. mvp, mvp, mvp.
  6. It is a retirement dream. I have been going down for the month of April for the last several years. Nothing beats minor league ball.
  7. Orelvis with another homerun tonight. T.J. Brock with a 108 era. Wow.
  8. Remember that Bo has Vladdy hitting behind him. Vladdy has Varsho.Who is going to get the better pitches to hit?
  9. Too bad Vladdy can't hit one of those HR'S when it means something, like today.
  10. LGJ with his 8th hr and a double and is now batting .321.More homers than Vladdy who I'm starting to think is one of the most overrated players in baseball.
  11. The other teams in the A.L. East refuse to lose. Going to be a tough road back.
  12. I think it's time for Vladdy to grow up and ditch the ice bath. It seems like the players would agree judging by Kiermaier's reaction today.
  13. He should go back to doing what he was doing before the changes. At least he was hitting home runs.
  14. He would rather someone else win a game for them so he can get him with the ice bath. Almost as annoying as the seeds.
  15. f***,one week too late. Still hoping that he might throw a couple innings tomorrow in extended spring game in Clearwater.
  16. It seems like Tampa and Baltimore are always playing a s*** team.
  17. I was at that game and unless they are using a different gun than the stadium scoreboard, he never went over 92.
  18. I was at the game tonight. As I stated before, there is not much to see here. Toman actually had a decent night with 2 shots to the warning track and a spectacular play at short to end a threat. Pinto, who might be shorter than Kirk, had a couple line drive singles. Mitch White was just ok...a lot of hard contact went for outs. He topped out at 92 but his slider looked good. Lefty Rojas was the best pitcher on both teams tonight with fastball at 94 and a pretty decent slider...had a lot of swing and misses. That's it for me for the baby Jays. Will try to hopefully catch Barriera on Friday in Clearwater before heading home on Sunday. Thank god the weather was fabulous and I was able to get a lot of golf in because the baseball was a bust.
  19. Tiedemann is the only prospect who is having a decent start this year. I keep checking the affiliates box scores to see if anyone is starting to pitch or hit and so far nada.
  20. Also the Rays can't keep this streak going...score 3 in the bottom of the 9th to win it. Btw, as much as I like the guy,I think they have to move on from Biggio, no more excuses.
  21. Unfortunately I was not allowed into the Jays complex yesterday to watch Barriera. Ever since the renos there has been no access to any part of the complex, whereas before you could just walk in and basically mingle with the coaches and players. The "prison guard" said that they would be making a decision early next week on whether to allow spectators at the extended spring games.Meanwhile,I'll try to catch a couple games next week at the Phillies complex where they are happy to have fans at the games.
  22. I was at the Phillies practice facility in Clearwater today to watch the Jays extended spring game hoping to catch a glimpse of Barriera, Bonilla or by chance Bryce Harper who is apparently here on a rehab assignment. Unfortunately, none of them were here. Bonilla is in the Dominican and Harper hasn't arrived yet. The good news is Barriera will be pitching an intra squad game tomorrow in Dunedin. The bad news is that the facility in Dunedin is not as easily accessible as the Philly one but I will try to get in. Notables at todays game were Hagen Danner on assignment pitched a clean 1st inning, Luis Mesa, big 2021 international signing caught and had a couple hits along with showing off his great arm. Also there was Robinson Cano's younger brother who played 3 rd for a couple innings before injuring his wrist on a swing and miss. Remarkable resemblance to his older brother.
  23. Thanks Brownie . I look forward to being here. Will be in Clearwater for an extended spring game on the 18th.Hoping for a Barriera/Bonilla sighting.
  24. Pinto didn't play last night but Peyton is huge.
  25. Was at the game last night. Beltre had a nice game, not much power but sprays the ball to all fields and plays a decent shortstop. Toman made a couple nice plays at 3rd which is where he'll probably end up. Rojas has a nice easy motion as a lefty and was around 92-94 all night.
