Dickey's numbers correlated with his velocity last year. When he played through injury at the beginning of the year and his velocity was down, his ERA was up...as he got healthy and his velocity improved his ERA droped. His post all start ERA was 3.56. His ERA after the first two months was 3.72. If he posts those kind of numbers and Buehle chimes in around a 4 ERA with Hutch being the big surprise being a 3.2 ERA those are 3 pretty good starters. The rotation only needs to put up a 3.9 ERA to be in the playoff hunt. That gives a lot of room for Morrow, McGowan, Rogers, Redmond, Happ to piece together a 4.4ish ERA in the 4 and 5 spots. If McGowan is McGowan...what exactly is he..lol.
