Blue Jays to add Gose as 26th man tomorrow game

298 games...more like 2 seasons worth of games spread over 5 years. He has a career .731 OPS, which is far from terrible for a kid still just 26 years of age, but he can't play a lick of defense. -
coco crisp had a hammy issue and missed two games and then pinch hit last night...not all hamstring issues will put you on a dl. Bad hamstring issues can keep you out 6 to 8 weeks. We just tend to think the worst.

Lind said his back has been hurting for 4 days now...he's 5 for 8 with 3 walks over the last 4 days! I think Lind deals with treatment for his back more than we know throughout the year. Hopefully a couple days off will be all he needs...but a DL stint wouldn't be the end of the world. I don't think he will be out of the lineup that long.

I actually thought lind was running better this year..he looks less fat to me this year. Maybe the beard is just playing tricks with my mind.

he missed a couple games with the same sort of thing last year at the end of june..never hit the dl.

for whichever team wins more games than all the rest of the teams in the AL East. I know, the Jays have no shot. Tampa could lose David Price and Longoria and still beat the Jays. The yanks could lose Kuroda and Beltran and comfortably finish ahead of the Jays. The Sox could lose lester and big papi...but still look down on the Jays in the standings. I'm just saying it's wide open for the other 4 teams.

Lindy has a .450 obp. Eddie is starting to hit. When Reyes comes back Friday and you have Melky hitting the way he's hitting in the 2 hole, simply walking bautista with Eddie and lind behind him and one or both of reyes and melky on in front of him will not be an great option either...this team is going to be scary pretty soon.

The Jays have protected picks...just offer him 8 mil and be done with it.

I agree....shame that izzy got hurt. I thought he was our best option for 2nd. The drop off from izzy to Goins/kawa/diaz shouldn't be that huge though. Of all the regulars to be out for an extended time, izzy was the one you would want to get hurt if you choose one.

I'm not sure you can use the word busts a hammy even with the word slight in front of it if the player doesn't even hit the DL. What Rasmus is going through is likely the same as what Reyes had..the difference is with Reyes' history he went to the DL....rasmus will sit three or 4 days playing Thursday or Friday.

Happ is an important depth guy. Teams rarely get through the season without guys missing time in the rotation. As it is, teams around the league have had tons of starters go down already. It's shocking to think that the Jays haven't had an injury given the guys that are starting in out rotation. I hope that trend continues and Happ is stuck in the pen for a long time. -

I'm pretty sure he said he doesn't want to pitch in the bullpen, not that he wouldn't pitch in relief. He should be saying he'll do whatever the club wants though...so yes he sounds like a massive douche. He can reject a minor league assignment, but he can't reject a demotion to the bullpen. You're in the pen Happ...deal with it. -
