  1. that's what happens when you fatigue...first start....time to take him out...
  2. what..lol. I think cecil and loup will be just fine when the weather warm up. They both have funky delivery and it's not hard to understand the cold and wind giving them fits.
  3. Seriously, it may feel nice and cozy in your living room, but at yankee stadium it was -8 with the wind chill. You have a rookie pitcher who throws a bunch of warm up pitches and then comes out and only needs 4 pitches to do his work, but then he goes and sits down and tightens up while you have loup warming up as the Jays are hitting. You'd rather throw a rookie who's freezing up on the bench than a veteran lefty specialist with great numbers against the upcoming lefties when he's loose from warming up as the Jays bat. That's some classic Gibby bashing. Just because things didn't work out doesn't mean Gibby made the wrong call.
  4. how was he lucky with a pop fly that normally would have been caught going in for a single
  5. Game 2 vs Pineda (RHP) Reyes (4pts) -Saskjayfan Martin (3pts) - Bautista (1pt) - Edwin (1pt) - Donaldson (1pt) - Navarro (3pts)- Smoak (2pts) - Deadpool Pompey (6pts) - Pillar (6pts) - King Travis ( 5pts) - Bench (8pts) - copy/paste (assuming Gibbons lets him off the bench...)
  6. he's probably on his second flask....he's doing pretty good all things considered.
  7. time to go back to the rookie projection page and up travis' numbers
  8. Navarro's been a different hitter the last couple years. He has done fairly well against righties the last couple years and strikes out less than league average. Smoak is a power guy that strikes out more than league average. Tanaka isn't a fastball pitcher. Pineda is more of a fastball pitcher. You want to get all your guys involved early on. I don't understand why it's so wrong to have Navarro in game one against Tanaka, Smoak lining up against Pineda and Valencia in against CC in game 3. Tanaka is a tough pitcher and having guys who make contact isn't the egregious error in judgement you are making it out today. Going with Smoak or Navarro would have been fine imo. Let's go Blue Jays!
  9. jays got 6 against the braves this year....I like it
  10. game 1 vs Tanaka (RHP) Reyes (4pts) - guylaroche5, BBBB, jays4life19, o2cui2i, Frenchsoup Martin (3pts) - Jonn Bautista (1pt) - King, Dylan Edwin (1pt) - LetTheBallFly, Abomination Donaldson (1pt) - Orgfiller, baseballsss Smoak (2pts) - Deadpool, GD, Angrioter, saskjayfan Pillar (6pts) - bronson44 Pompey (6pts) - Atothe, Theblujay, 43211234 Travis (5pts) - Navarro (3pts) copy/paste picks
  11. I agree...Travis, Pompey, Stro, Hutch, Sanchez, Norris, Castro, Osuna and Hoffman in the waiting is a lot of very cheaply priced talent with Donaldson and Saunders being paid less than market value.
  12. I would assume they've hedged off some currency risk, but moving forward the lower dollar will be problematic. That said, they are shedding more than 40 mil in Salary with Buehrle, Romero, Navarro, Izturis and Dickie(potentially) coming off the books which can likely be better re-invested for next year.
  13. man...where would this team be if they had actually signed Kris Bryant in 2010
