league average obp in the AL is .315 and PIllar's league average is .318 and he has shown a lot of improvement throughout the season getting to that point. His Defense and base running is well above average. He's an everyday player in my books. I'm surprised how many people still see him as a stop gap. He's 26 and isn't a free agent until 2021. He's got a lot of trade value if you want to get rid of him. I'd be open to trading Pompey because of what Pillar's done this year, and I'd be happy keeping both. I didn't think much of Pillar coming into the season, but he's been one of the best surprises of the season. He's developed into a nice asset.
