  1. when you applied for a position withe the Jays and were denied you must have asked for compensation...they are looking for free labour...lol
  2. well that sux....need Tulo to heal quickly now.
  3. after last weekends series you'd vote Giradi? I don't think so..
  4. 82 wins with 19 games left to go.....3 out of 4 against the Yankees. We may not even have to sacrifice the virgins, although it's always good to have that in your back pocket just in case. What a great time to be a blue jay fan. The playoffs can't come soon enough.
  5. maybe not, but his last 30 games he's been a good hitter. He's got a .289/.396/.444 line the last 30.
  6. people on here like to say Votto's contract is dead weight, and to some degree what 10 year contract isn't. There's certainly huge risk, but I could see votto being a very productive hitter until his late 30s....guy just cares too much and is so cerebral that I think he won't look as bad as people think at age 38 or 39 making 25 mil.
  7. you are in the minority if you only have one account around these parts
  8. pompey is the guy most likely to steal two bags and have the jays win with a sac fly....you don't put pompey in for defense at this point
  9. so what your saying is you don't have a meaningful enough sample size to come to any conclusions.
  10. and exactly how did you come up with .260- 270 for colabello?
  11. people jumped the gun a bit last year when votto had some injury issues saying he'd never be the same player or never stay healthy....he's bounced back pretty good this year.
  12. I'm totally on board with that...at the beginning of the season most said we had zero depth...mostly because they assumed goins and pillar were terrible and didn't think Travis would be as good as he turned out to be. I must admit, I didn't think much of goins myself and was a bit skeptical when it came to pillar...now we look at having those three, and add pompey and now revere to the fold and things look a lot brighter for the future.
  13. They are both above average defenders. That was the most pleasant thing about Travis...his defense was way better than advertised. Goins' is still a better defender...but it's not like Travis is chopped liver in that department either...they both play quality defense.
  14. how is goins cheaper?
  15. Al Oliver was my favourite baseball player when I first started watching, but I think it was because he wore the number 0...when I actually started really paying attention ernie whitt was my favourite Jay...
  16. I asked you in a gameday thread...but do you really cheer for the canaries?
  17. There are 30 managers in the MLB and every single one of them would have had estrada start the 7th in that situation..so have a coke and a smile and shut it
  18. because donaldson is out...unless you want navarro at short...actually that might make for good comedy
  19. I don't think he's an *******....i'm with followthelight...he's just dumb....not mad at gose at all
  20. eddie isn't willing to give up the blue jays home run race just yet
