I also said this. They went out and got Ryu and my confidence in management took a 180 when we signed Ryu. I did not like the Roark signing when many others liked it, but I'm wrong all the time. I have an affinity for injury prone high risk players with upside. It's my weakness. We'd probably have a lot of money on the IL if I was GM. -

So Teo back friday our lineup is: Springer Bo Vlad Teo Biggio Grichuk Semien Lourdes Jansen Bench of Davis, Panik, Espinal Kirk. One of Davis or Espinal will get optioned Friday and they will go with a 9 man bullpen. When the starting pitching gets healthy, surely they can go with an 8 man bullpen and it would make more sense to have a lefty power bat in Tellez back on the bench.

I think you guys are being overly critical. That wasn't an easy play for Biggio. A good right fielder may have had it, but if you're not used to the position it's unlikely you are going to go crashing into the wall.

It caught the bottom of the zone according to pitchtrax. Even the robo ump would have called him out.

Semien is looking better. He was swinging over that 2 and 2 pitcher earlier in the year.

Tellez was coming around. Exit velocity is there, his K rate cut dramatically after an 0 for 21 start. The alt site might actually be good for him. He can get some extra at bats. Objectively Gurriel has been a lot worse. I think he'll turn it around too. I'm sure Tellez will be back at some point. With Grichuk's hot start it's either Tellez or Gurriel that are going to be losing time with Springer and Teoscar back. I still feel by year's end Gurriel and Tellez' numbers will surpass Grichuk. Time will tell.

Really good night at the plate for Cavan. 2 hits almost got a double for a 3rd hit and drives it deep to get the run in as a consolation prizze.
