  1. I guess then they would all need red helmets too then
  2. He already had signed his contract at that point
  3. This isn't April. Last 10 starts: Stroman has 2.45 xFIP. I voted for him as well, he's been outstanding Comparison in L10: Sanchez 3.92 xFIP Happ 3.00 xFIP
  4. That was exactly it. He wasn't following through on his pitches and he was missing his release point entirely. The frustrating part is he has the potential to be dominant like he was in Cleveland, when he locates the fastball it makes his slider devastating. So if that Liriano we're too show up more consistently he'd be a very solid postseason option. However, the Liriano we saw vs Minnesota on Friday has been far more prominent this season
  5. Liriano got into trouble due to too many walks. He wasn't particularily sharp. Dickey the same problem. Stroman actually pitched really well, but ran into terrible BABIP luck. A ton of ground balls in the infield that snuck through short and third.
  6. In the words of Josh Donaldson, "Alright Barry"
  7. lets just get wasted and forget about it by game time
  8. When Martin is the hottest hitter in the league, and Stro struggled last time with Thole behind the dish, I disagree now is the time for Thole to catch back to back days. That time does not exist unless injury
  9. Bautista DH Donaldson 3b Edwin 1b Tulo SS Saunders RF Pillar CF Upton LF Travis 2B Thole C Hate when Martin's not in there when he's this hot. Plus Stroman didn't have much success last time Thole was behind the dish. Travis hitting 8th is also yuck, Sore hand or not
  10. Probably means no Thole for the playoffs
  11. Meh, it can make a difference when gripping a bat, and its also on his throwing hand. We're going to need him down the stretch, there's no point in making the injury worse. Better to just let it fully heal.
  12. Damn, Travis's knuckle taking a bit longer than they thought. Hopefully it doesn't become a lingering issue like Edwin's finger last year.
  13. Different opinions are welcomed, just try not to make them f***ing terrible
  14. I thought I noticed him grimacing at some swings and misses recently. Strange he's not in here
  15. Darwin is hitting .153/.200/.237 since the All star break. He should not be leading off
  16. LOL y'all are crazy. Votto is hitting .450/.546/.708 in 150 PA since the allstar break. Not to mention his .515(!) wOBA and 226wRC+ How is he not worth every single penny? For god sake he was a 7.5 fWAR player in 2015. He'll be worth his contract for the next 4 years too. It might hurt a little in 5 years from now, but the short term gain is worth it. If you replace Smoak with Votto in the lineup we're easily the favourites coming out of the AL. The reds would laugh at that offer 60% hahaha that kills me
  17. agreed. But as Gov said he's gotta be used strictly against lefties moving forward
  18. He drove in a run with 2 strikes, with a short swing to take the ball the other way. Agree he shouldn't be included here
  19. go get em tomorrow boys
  20. http://i.imgur.com/TAyupQo.png
  21. yeah he clearly made the story up on the spot, as he told Barry Davis right before that it was "none of his business"
  22. This is actually a pretty big game with Boston and the O's playing each other. Win the series and maintain that division lead. Would love it if they momentum carried over from last night and they come out firing.
