When I was messing around on the minor league fangraphs leaderboards looking for the mystery player from Kiley McDaniel's chat, I ran across a few interesting tidbits.
Old friend Yuniesky Bethancourt is still around, playing in Mexico. He's flirting with .400 too! Only Vlad's .394 bests Yuniesky's .389 across the MiLB.
Blue Jays great, and player with an inexplicable 5-win season, Daric Barton is also in Mexico. He has a 211 wRC+ on a .333/.517/.586 slashline. It seems like he's content to let the Mexican League pitchers walk him. He's not exactly hitting for a ton of power so I doubt he parlays it into a major league comeback. Maybe he gets a spring invite for some team next season though. He's only just turned 33 a week ago.
