  1. Swinging at a pitch in the dirt....LOL. I thought the idea was to get a pitch middle up to drive into the outfield with a runner on third and less than 2 out.
  2. Ban your mom, Navarro is a f***ing cow who can't block a ball to save his life. So f*** off already
  3. You watching Navarro? You fat f***ing dough boy biatch? That's how you block a ball fat boy
  4. Lol buck, two best hitters with RISP doesn't mean a f***ing thing with this team lately.
  5. I still can't get over that....3 hits +2 errors= 0 RUNS
  6. Yeah I know, please don't remind me. AA's decisions in hindsight are starting to rival JPR's, as sad and f***ing useless as that f***tard was.
  7. He takes his own baserunning error out on the field with him and doesn't even hustle after his own error. He is EXACTLY the kind of player we don't want on our team. He's lazy and doesn't hustle costing his team two runs, then pouts like a f***ing child and allows the other team to score two runs. What a f***ing joke this guy is. Inconsistency at it's finest. I'd rather have Goins at second and Kawasaki at short when Lawrie comes back. I'm sick of this guys face and of his "I'm a badass" attitude when he finally does something to help the team.
  8. AGAIN, reyes and his lazy ******** attitude cost this team runs, except now in the other direction. 2 runs instead of nobody on and 2 out.
  9. No, I don't think I do, going full speed over 90 feet makes at least a stride of two difference at that distance. He wasn't running full speed there or even close to it. You could see him actually slow a bit as he turns around and see him pick it up quite a bit after he was already half way there. His speed made a difference at 40 feet, never mind 90
  10. That's possible. But again, it doesn't matter, you don't take anything fore granted in this game. If he got up and used one of his TOOLS, his speed, he scores with ease on that play. It wouldn't have even been close. See Kawasaki yesterday tag up on that Bautista line drive? He knows he scores either way so he doesn't take anything for granted. He goes right back to third off the crack of the bat and scores.
  11. Huh? If he were hustling right from the get go, he beats that throw by a full step if not two. He beat it without going anywhere near full bore, so you're telling me that if he is it doesn't make a difference? LMFAO.
  12. Luck? You mdon't leave the game to luck. If that were a player who hustles his ass off, like Kawasaki for instance, that's an automatic run. It was a bad review call, but it only went to review cos Reyes took it for granted and didn't run as he should. I mean why the f*** turn around to see where the ball is? Run your ass off, do your JOB and get to home plate as quickly as you can and it doesn't f***ing matter where the ball is.
  13. Is that MLB history right there? I'd love to see Carson dig up on that one. 3 hits, 2 errors, but don't score a single run? Shopuld've scored at least 2 and still be at bat had reyes hustled on that play period.
  14. This replay system is a complete joke. I also have a huge problem yet again with Reyes there. When you get up from third and are told to go home, you hustle. He was not running anywhere near full bore there and he turns around to look at where the ball is, the tries to turn up the speed. I see no hustle in this guy when he needs it. It's why I have a problem with his cockiness.....he doesn't hustle or play the game hard enough to earn that right. He plays it more like he takes it for granted. An arrogance that has no place on a team that wants to win. I literally can't stand him.
  15. This team makes me laugh, one run yet again? 3 runs in 4 f***ing games? While the good teams makes moves to make themselves better and more competitive, our GM sits there with his thumb up his ass and watches his team plummet back towards .500. What then? We go from leading the division by 5 games to being sellers? Instead of making a move to solidify their position, they just stand pat and watch a team that had a chance to win the division fade into mediocrity......what a great organization this is.
  16. What?? You're kidding right? Goins is TWICE the defender that both those players are put together. So with these guys barely hitting over the Mendoza line, I'd love to hear your take on how they are both "substantial" upgrades? That's downright laughable and hilarious actually. Goins was a plus 2 WAR defensively and neither Kawasaki or Toollleson are anywhere near that. So Kawasaki and Tolleson are both plus two WAR offensively plus a substantial upgrade, which would mean what? Pitching and defense win games buddy, at least consistenly they do, one of the oldest taglines in the book. Goins is no stud by any means, but my last look sees that he was a minus .20 WAR at 2nd base offensively. So you're telling me that a pair of .200 hitters are substantial upgrades over a guy who is 100 times the defender either of those players are is a substantial upgrade? I think you must've meant the other way around......there's no other way, you had to. LOL
  17. I'm just sayin that the kid has a wicked f***ing curveball that he can get outs with. I actually think it's much better than Stroman's. He has some time to learn to repeat his delivery and gain command of that fastball and I hear that the kid is very eager to learn and also very coachable. You get some young guys whose s*** goes straight to their heads and they get ccocky and don't want to listen to anyone. I think this kid has a good learning curve and an excellent chance to be a solid front end starter by the time he's 25. He has the tools and the movement on his fastball as well. Lets hope he a quick study and doesn't turn out to be another Romero. When you got a kid with 95 mph plus with movement on his fastball and that's not his out pitch? It's a good sign. I think he has better stuff than Marcus, but he's apparently lacking in maturity and composure, which kinda go hand in hand. Look at Alvarez, we let him learn on the fly and now that he's learned a third pitch, he's lighting up the jr circuit. I woulda never let him go. But people were saying the same s*** about him all over the place and I was shaking my head in amazement at how easily people gave up on him. Sanchez has similar movement on his fastball and as soon as he learns a third pitch, he is going to be something to watch I think, just as Alvarez is now and will be for years to come.
  18. Actually I didn't know they were that poorly paid. I'm just sayin' that I don't think the price for Price is going to be as high as some people think. When teams are in the toilet and not drawing fans, it erases some of that contract value his extra year adds.
  19. AA pulled the string once and now he's obviously gunshy. You look at what Oakland got today......yet people think Price alone will fetch twice as much apparently. This team is wounded big time. Then we have cement shoe George Bell Sr.....errr, Milky Cabrera giving games away. This team is fading fast. I can see not wanting to let other teams touch Stroman, Hutch or Sanchez, but something has gotta give somewhere or this team is heading for a .500 finish and nothing more.
  20. I just had to laugh at this entire post. Not even worth wasting my breath arguing with that....whatever it is. I think my last post addressed all you wannabe GM's who think they know everything there is to know about baseball. This kid might die a slow death, he might be a number one. Fact is, none of you seem to have the slightest clue as to what that's gonna be. What we do know is that he has a wipeout MLB ready curveball and that he needs to learn to repeat his delivery. He could just as easily be a front end pitcher. He's 21 years old FFS. I suggest heavily though that y'all get to handing in your resumes for baseball scouts and positions of the like. Probably be making more than you are now with the amount of time you spend roaming around here and all. Good luck with your baseball careers, you know, with all that firm crystal clear knowledge you have and all. You should all be able to draft and pick every other teams farm system apart to have a championship team in a matter of a few years. Good luck with that.....ROFL, wow.
  21. Yeah ooookeeeeeee buddy, we'll see when we actually get to see what T.B gets for Price when they let him go by the deadline. A TOP 50 pick by BASEBALL AMERICA and another pitcher who's close to being MLB ready and a mid level prospect isn't far fetched at all despite what all the scouts, GM'S and managers around here think. T.B is desperate for young arms to replace a guy they have no chance of resigning and I don't think they will get much more than that for Price, if they even get that much at all. He might have extra value considering they have him for another year but I don't think that's as much leverage as some people think considering how desperate Tampa is for young inexpensive pitching. Based on their attendance and performance this year as well? Takes away some of that leverage that extra year has on his contract. No way they get anything more than exactly what I said, a top 50 prospect, a mid level prospect and a MLB ready arm like Drabek. As for people pretending to know what Sanchez will be based on the command he has at 21 years of age? I think that's what is ridiculous here. The guy has a wipeout pitch with his curveball and he still has a good two years left to learn command of his fastball before ANYONE can legitmately say that he is a number 3 or 4 or whatever, based on his command. Truth is, he could easily become a number 1 in any rotation if he corrects his delivery to the point where he can learn to repeat it without to much strain on his arm. He's 21, stop pretending to know what he's going to be.
  22. He was rushed? Because to me, it looks like they've timed his progression perfectly. The Marlins are reaping the rewards of him having a full year of MLB service under his belt and he is throwing great baseball for that team right now. Guys already thrown a no-hitter and a streak of scoreless innings stretching three games. The only thing rushed was the jays trading a yound pitcher who will at some point, probably win 20 games. I was shocked when the jays traded him and we're seeing now what kind of value he has now that he's consistenly keeping that 95mph sinker down below the knees
  23. I'm not sure that trading for a guy like Price "cripples" our system. If we give them Sanchez, a mid level prospect and maybe a Drabek type player, I don't see why T.B wouldn't go for that. Sanchez is viewed as a top 50 prospect with a live arm, which is exactly what the rays seem to be after year after year. They're faced with losimng Price and I think that brings the asking price down a little bit doesn't it?
  24. It's a good win, you gotta win games you play badly in. Hopefully you win more of those than other teams do against you. But this team has to learn to manufacture runs and use their speed when it's on base. The graph showed earlier how they're depending on the long ball for almost half of their runs scored. And that's fine to a point. But this team has to learn to do what they need to do when they should be able to do it without fail. I mean, f***, start Reyes and bunt behind him. If it's a missed bunt, chances are he steals the base anyhow. All the baserunning gaffe's, botched defensive plays late in games and lack of fundamental execution can't keep happening if this team even hopes to have a chance to win. It just can't. It will catch up to them. The bats went cold, ice cold and when that happens again, they need to find ways to win games. Seeing them fail so often in so many areas tells me that when the next cold snap comes, this team is heavily prone to a long ass strtch of losing baseball.
