  1. pretty good videos of Zeuch with some conventional mlb camera angles: looks like he could pitch out of the pen right now and he wears #34 - good choice
  2. Pitchers are lucky batters drop the bat when they charge the mound.
  3. that was the same draft we got "future Chipper Jones" that's the kind of draft that would turn someone off of following the draft
  4. http://espn.go.com/mlb/stats/pitching/_/league/al/sort/pitchesPerInning/type/expanded-2/order/false Our 4 regular starters ( Happ, Sanchez, Stroman, Estrada) are ranked top 5,6,7,8 in the AL in least pitches per inning. I think there might be a bit of an organizational philosophy here. Or just a coincidence?
  5. didnt game 6 have the ******** homerun by the amish guy AND that complete ******** call against revere in the 9th? that was a tough loss...
  6. Who? Genuinely interested
  7. Actually they made several good points in that thread which have been discussed at length here: Bautista is a whiny **** Lawrie and Reyes are douche bags Getting JD was a steal Early 90s teams were fun to watch Gibby hobbling out of the dugout is painful Top 4 hitters good - others bad
  8. I recall you saying he should be 5th OF, not released
  9. is expected Pythagorean record crap? I'd imagine across a large sample a properly weighted combination of pythagorean record + 1 run game record would be highly correlated to actual record
  10. Guess who throws the closest comparable sinker to stroman's
  11. f*** that this team sucks
  12. those are revocable waivers for the purpose of trading after the deadline. the waivers related to option years are a different set I beleive
  13. The fact that you didn't list any kind of source for your claim, then cited an article about something completely different? We have no way of knowing if you are full of s*** or not, since your only source is completely irrelevant... This is basically what you did: Former jays GM Anthopoulos takes TV analyst role with Marlins! Source: http://www.thestar.com/opinion/2009/10/04/kid_alex_anthopoulos_takes_over_as_jays_gm.html
  14. re-living that was painful..
  15. what the hell is with the KC crowd? bottom of the 12th bases loaded, and we can hear a lone fan yell 'c'mon dyson!'
  16. On the TBS broadcast last night (TBS will be carrying the NLCS) they said the NLCS game on tuesday would be an afternoon game, and wednesday would be an evening game
  17. he hit 100 today according to the tv broadcast's gun
  18. mine is working without paying 10 more dollars. Make sure you select the international stream, not the us&canada one
  19. why wouldn't they play the game at night?
  20. Remember that to find a player's war first you find their runs above replacement then divide that number by about 10. You can easily see how a player can be worth more than 10 runs per game.
  21. He didn't look sharp
  22. actually equivalent to 101.2 mph, pretty nuts
  23. those postseason probabilities really make you realize just how important every game is.... 2 jays losses combined with 2 yankees wins on aug 13 & 14 changed the jays div% from 55% to 37 and the yankees div% from 39 to 58 Since there is an element of luck in baseball it actually makes sense to try to define the probability that a team will win its division. Just as a thought experiment, if the season was magically played out 1000 times starting from aug 13 the jays would win their division 557 times but if it was played out 1000 times starting from aug 15 the jays would have only won the division 368 times. Is it reasonable to think that 2 days can make that much of a difference in the middle of august when you are that close in the standings? I think so
  24. From canada? What brain is saying is true: MLB would have you believe you can't watch the post season with your mlb.tv account. I've been worried that I will have to get cable this October...
