    They will be. There's a lot to do for next year and too difficult to do it all through free agency. Either now or in the offseason there will be trades for controllable guys.

    Sure, why not. I'd like to get an extended look at Chad Dallas too if Gausman and Bieber both go. He will probably suck but if he can at least not be a total disaster would be nice to see if he can be some depth for next year.

    Every game that passes Varsho must be seeing the money flying out the window. He seems like a good guy and I feel bad for him. I wouldn't be totally surprised if his new team turns his bat around. How we haven't at least eliminated his obvious hole of swinging at every high fastball is beyond me.

    Would it be crazy to just stick Lukes in center next year? He hasn't looked horrible there in limited time and probably easier to find a corner OF in the offseason. Keep Straw to platoon occasionally or find another cheaper RH 4th outfielder. Just spitballing.
