  1. Never once mentioned his contract. I just replied to a post saying that out of all the washed up vets that Yankees have gone through, he still has been somewhat productive. Contract aside, Jays could use a bat like Stanton in their lineup. He would be their second best power hitter lol.
  2. Atkins loves coming in second eh!
  3. Yeah I doubt he even cracks a 50 career WAR when all is said and done.
  4. Yeah he could be very well cooked. Last two years he's been in a steady decline and is 37. Prime Goldy was such an awesome player.
  5. He'll probably get to 500 career HR's with them as long as he gets around 450 AB's per season. 600 looks tough but it's within reach if plays until he's 40-41.
  6. Ah no risk for them really. They don't need Goldy to be one of their main bats in the lineup. If he bounces back somewhat and gives them 2-3 WAR with similar offensive numbers like in 2023 with a 122 wRC+, that's plenty. Only a one-year deal worth $12.5M so if he doesn't pan out, he's off the books in 2026.
  7. Stanton at least when healthy has still been productive for them. He would have been second in HR's on the Jays team this year with 27. Vladdy was the only Jays player who hit above 20 HR's last season lol.
  8. Definitely would be a nice lineup which I think would be good enough to contend and to go on a deep Postseason run. Hopefully Atkins could swing some magic.
  9. Carlos Santana actually was pretty solid last season. I was shocked.
  10. Nothing new for Atkins if that's the case!
  11. Obviously the Jays need to aim higher lol. Have no issue with them spending money if they bring in Teo or Santander. They haven't yet however. But if money was tight, I suggested that Kepler wouldn't have been a bad option. Yes Kepler is definitely more riskier, but that's why you're getting him at $10M on a one year deal versus Teo who likely gets a 3-4 year deal around $60-70M or even more lol. Phillies already have an excellent lineup in place, so they definitely can afford to roll the dice on a player like Kepler.
  12. Suggested Kepler as an option a couple months ago if the Jays wanted to go the cheap route in left field. Was met with some backlash when suggesting his name. He posted 2.8 WAR and hit 24 HR's in 2023. As long as he's healthy, he should be good for 2-3 WAR. I think he'll fit in nicely in Philly.
  13. When you suggest other FA names, Jays don't have the money to sign them. Though when you suggest names that could come cheap and who you might get some value out of, they suck and the Jays shouldn't sign them. So then who do the Jays sign? Sure, I want the Jays to sign a better arm than Griffin Canning lol, but if payroll is tight and they need to spend money in other areas such as the lineup or bullpen, leaves very little for the rotation. If someone in the Jays rotation gets injured, who is next in line? Depth is important as well. If Canning didn't pan out, you either DFA him after 5 or 6 starts or move him to the pen. Who knows, maybe out of the pen he becomes the next Luke Weaver.
  14. 9.85 K/9 and a 2.55 BB/9 is pretty decent. 4.32 ERA, 4.29 FIP and 3.82 xFIP as well. Damn, those numbers aren't much different than what Bassitt did this past season and we're paying him $21M instead of $4M.
  15. I doubt Atkins was even in on him lol.
  16. 1.8 WAR in 2023 you dingleberry.
  17. 9.85 K/9 and 1.8 fWAR in 24 games (22 starts) during the 2023 season. Again, just said he would be a decent back of the rotation arm who could be had for cheap. At $4M, that's not a bad signing at all. He's nothing flashy but gives the Jays rotation some depth at least and allows them to try Y-Rod in the pen, which is an area that is of significant concern. Maybe Pete Walker untaps something with him. I don't know man. Can't even have a baseball discussion with you since you come across as an arrogant prick as always!
  18. Damnit, he would have been a nice multiple inning guy for the BP. $9M is a lot though. Wonder if the Nats will use him in the rotation or pen.
  19. Difference is Bartolo actually performed. Vladdy was awful in 2023 and still is an awful baserunner and makes a lot of mental mistakes. Manoah and Kirk have completely fallen off.
  20. Damn, at that cost would have been a nice arm for the back of the rotation. Canning is durable and has a bit of untapped potential still as well.
  21. Man I love sarcasm at times, but your sarcasm is kind of cringe.
  22. Brownie and Max responses incoming.
  23. Obviously yes would have to add to the bullpen if they added both Teo and Bregman. That should be a given lol. I don't know why Teo would struggle in his first year here? He's had most of his success playing with Toronto.
  24. I get the same feeling unfortunately. It doesn't surprise me if Atkins is waiting to hear on Burnes before moving onto someone else like Santander or Teo or Bregman. Hope that's not the case because they might miss the boat on others.
  25. Bellinger will hit 35 HR's next season.
