  1. Yeah can't you say the same thing about the Pirates and Cincy on how they both traded Bautista and EE respectively?

  4. JFaS can co-manage with me if he'd like until a spot opens up...
  5. Napoli is available for a team in need of a 1B/DH bat. He didn't have the greatest year, though he still plays in a fantastic park, hits in the middle of the Red Sox lineup and provides a really strong .OBP which is extremely valuable in this league.
  6. I probably would have rather moved Trumbo instead of Belt.
  7. He even worked wonders with AJ Burnett those two seasons.

  9. Who do you replace Stroman and Sanchez with in the rotation though? You'd need a lot of money for Shields, and you suggesting bringing back Melky would also cost a lot of money. I could see Lowrie as a 2B option, though trading for Stanton (as much as I love him) wouldn't be rational for the Jays especially if they don't increase their payroll. In fantasy baseball, I'd trade Lawrie, Sanchez and Stroman for Stanton anyday of the week though
  10. I'd say a trade for Justin Upton would be more realistic since it would be easier and wouldn't cost as much as Stanton.
  11. C Navarro 1B Edwin Encarnacion 2B Asdrubal Cabrera SS Jose Reyes 3B Chase Headley RF Jose Bautista CF Anthony Gose LF Giancaro Stanton DH Adam Lind/Van Slyke SP Shields SP Dickey SP MB SP Hutch SP Happ AAA: Norris, Nolin, Drabek Not gonna happen, though that's what the team would roughly look like trading Lawrie, Stroman and Sanchez for Stanton. Plus you have to figure the Jays would need to sign a starter like Shields, a third baseman like Headley. Just don't see Stanton happening.
  12. Likely looking at Lawrie, Stroman and Sanchez I'd say.
  13. I'd like you as co-manager GD. It would be an honour to add your brain trust to the Triple Hawpe Brewed organization.
  14. I don't have a problem with Lind as a DH/1B. Just find another solid platoon partner, someone who can also play a position. A Lind/Van Slyke or Lind/Gomes platoon would be great. Though I'm sure we likely see Lind/Mayberry instead.
  15. I misunderstood your post, my bad.
  16. Your team finished in 5th during the regular season, mine finished in 7th.
  17. I just wanted to make the playoffs this season, since anything could happen in a one week matchup. Didn't expect to go far though I'd rather have a chance than sit outside the Top 8. After getting knocked out in the first round, I couldn't care what I did in the consolation rounds (whether I finished 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th). Doesn't matter because the goal at the end of the day is to win a championship. I like my team moving forward and my goal this offseason is to take my team to the next level.
  18. Meh, I like my roster that ended this season in 7th place better than yours moving forward. At the end of the day, not much of a difference between finishing 5th or 7th.
  19. Who wants to drive down to Pittsburgh on Wednesday?
  20. They are adding seats to BMO, so they'd be able to put a football field there. The TFC are awful and a joke of a franchise. I could see MLSE buying the Argos for 50 cents on the dollar and they have the prefect venue for the Argos to have success. Put the Argos in a beautiful stadium like BMO Field by the lake with 26,000-27,000 capacity and if the Argos start winning I'm sure they could have much better attendance numbers at BMO Field vs. the RC. Also, MLSE has money, so if they want to sign a big name retired or washed up NFL vet to sell more tickets and jerseys, I'm sure they'd do it. The CFL as a league is also on the upswing, so this is a perfect buy low for MLSE.
  21. I even beat you in the consolation round this week!

f*** the Panthers! Awful game today all around - they played like crap.
  23. Argos likely moving to BMO Field which is a great move for the organization. I'm sure once BMO Field is ready for football games, the Argos and Blue Jays will both agree to terminate the lease agreement.
