  1. Got tickets for all 3 games! If I'm not teaching overseas, will definitely go!
  2. I bought mine the day of the game. First game I bought off StubHub, then the second game which was an afternoon game bought right at the Mariners box office. I went last September and the series was during the week, so it was a bit easier I imagine to get good seats that weren't that expensive. I'm sure if the series is played on a weekend in the summer, different story. I think the Jays visit Seattle in May this season.
  3. I'm going to try for Cubs tickets again today. Regular sale starts at 11AM.
  4. When does the Korean league start? I'll be in Seoul over March Break and would be cool to catch some games.
  5. He looks a lot like Jacob deGrom. If he could follow in the same footsteps, that would be awesome haha. His minor league stats aren't anything special, though he's pitching in Citi Field and his numbers in his brief stint in the Majors last season was encouraging.
  6. In this other dynasty league, who should I take: Robby Gsellman or Tom Murphy? Looking at leaning toward Gsellman.
  7. Shoot I traded the 2017 AL Cy Young in James Paxton in BORED, and Jose Peraza for Jason Heyward in the FC. Love Tommy Joseph leading the NL in HR's, Ray leading the NL in K's and Luke Weaver becoming a Top 40 starter. This would be a nice plus for my DDL team.
  8. Yeah he went a lot earlier in the DDL. I really needed to solidify my bullpen, so just took the veteran arm with experience. Could always roll the dice on a upside arm later on. Don't plan on keeping him beyond this season obviously, though if I could get a 2 something ERA from him, along with 25 + saves and/or holds, I'll be happy. Plus he's a likely handcuff for AJ Ramos, who I own as well.
  9. Took Brad Ziegler. Don't have the link to the spreadsheet, so don't know who is next. If someone can PM the next guy, thanks.
  10. I'll trade for that extra pick, have some open spots.
  11. Will roll the dice again on Phil Hughes.
  12. Yeah we matched up well in this deal. I had a lot of high draft picks from the trades I made last summer when I took over this team. As well, had depth both at 1B and 2B. I don't think going from Hosmer to Morales or Cron at 1B is much of a drop-off from a offensive stand point. Same with Walker to Castro (outside of .OBP). Paxton could be the real gem however if he stays healthy, though I've seen young starters like him before (Bedard, Harden etc.) who were fragile at a young age and never amounted to anything more than 20 start pitchers with frequent trips to the DL.
  13. I know airlines do this for sure. Probably hotels as well, where the prices are influx.
  14. Wow so basically buying tickets off the Cubs official site has become like StubHub. I'll wait until the general sale on Friday, so hopefully they don't use dynamic pricing. If not, then I'll save the 2-3K that weekend and use it towards another small baseball road trip maybe to Pittsburgh or save it for the postseason. Or like ChrisS said, just buy tickets closer to August. They can't be that absurd on StubHub and I know the Cubs do release tickets last minute like a week or two before as well (just have to keep checking).
  15. They went up? How so? They said they would go up 15% when purchasing on a MasterCard, how could they change it to 25%? I went on today and looked as well. Easily looking at close to $300 CAD per game for a pair (even for bleachers or upper level seating). Plus, the game Friday is at 1PM so kind of sucks that you have to fly out there really early Friday. Wish there was a night game at Wrigley. I'll see what else pops up on Friday during the general sale, though if I don't get anything its not the end of the world. I've been to Wrigley before and would rather save the money for postseason tickets or even for another baseball trip like to Pittsburgh or something.
  16. It is, quite ridiculous. Thinking of just waiting for Friday, though that will be a mess online. Haven't looked at going to Wrigley in a while, though what are ticket prices like on StubHub? Are they that more expensive then face value?
  17. I guess the Cubs are really capitalizing on their World Series win. Last time when I went to Wrigley in 2009, Bleacher seats were like $40-50 USD for a weeknight.
  18. By accident I sent a PM to Havok24 instead since he was after me in the DDL. Mixed up both leagues and posters, my bad.
  19. Pretty awesome.
  20. Anyone buying Blue Jays/Cubs tickets this week? They have a MasterCard Presale on the Cubs site starting tomorrow, though have to pay an extra 15% on tickets, otherwise tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday.
