  1. I bought an Otani jersey when I was in Japan this spring. Also, saw a Fighters/Tigers game as well, though he was injured unfortunately.
  2. Still shopping Nelson Cruz if any team is interested in a big power bat. As well, could part with other bats like CF Dexter Fowler, CF Eddie Rosario, and 1B/OF Matt Adams. If anyone wants to roll the dice on Tyson Ross, could move him for a draft pick.
  3. Yeah considering the market for pitching this offseason, bringing back Estrada on a cheap one-year deal as the No. 4 or 5 starter wouldn't be the worst idea.
  4. He's still young though he isn't one of the top shortstops offensively to own in fantasy as you would have thought when you dropped his name. Has a .750 OPS with only 6 HR's and 9 SB's this season thus far. I don't see him posting better numbers than 2015 or 2016 moving forward.
  5. Tim Beckham would have been a nice addition to this club. I don't think the O's paid a huge price if I'm not mistaken. Would have been a significant upgrade over either Goins or Barney right now and he's the type of guy you can keep around for next season as a third MI to rotate between Tulo & Travis. Has posted a 1.3 WAR so far this season and would be under control until 2021.
  6. If Yankees have a full rotation that is healthy and 100%, I would have Gray behind Severino, Tanaka, and Pineda. Gray is a solid pitcher, though on a team with World Series aspirations, he's likely a No. 3 at best.
  7. They didn't even win a World Series with that rotation which is the funny thing. They didn't have Lee, Halladay and Oswalt in 2008.
  8. If Morales is still with the team in 2018, Pearce likely is the everyday LF I would imagine (unless he's traded). If Morales is moved, Pearce would become the everyday DH.
  9. LMAO. I waited too long deciding on whether to drop Doug Fister or not.
  10. He's arb eligible, but yeah I don't see the Jays paying him $6 million through arbitration. Likely will decline arbitration on him and agree to a less $ figure.
  11. Knowing how Shapiro and Atkins work, they like to have potential roster holes filled in advance in case they strike out in the offseason. For e.g. re-signing Justin Smoak last August. With LF being a major hole on this team and with Bautista leaving, they figured Aoki at least covers a corner OF spot at a decent price in case they can't make a bigger upgrade earlier in the offseason.
  12. Funny. I recall last year or two years ago people wanted the Jays to sign Nori Aoki as a possible platoon bat in LF.
  13. I'm buying a Nori Aoki jersey this week!
  14. Joe Smith likely landing spot: back in Cleveland.
  15. Probably Teoscar Hernandez if the Jays are kicking in money to get a better return.
  16. Actually none of those outfielders we named as possible targets are available. My great plan is ruined.
  17. I'm scouting the waiver wire in the LOD as we speak preparing to add whichever OF the Astros plan on giving the Jays.
  18. He just went on the DL so he's injury prone. No thanks!
  19. Teoscar Hernandez another possibility.
