  1. Could be a nice value signing if he returns to somewhat of his previous form. Low risk/high reward signing for a team needing a slugging DH.
  2. All they need to do is reach the World Series. Anything can happen in the Postseason as we've seen before with teams surprising and going on a run. Sure you can bet the heavy favourites like the Astros or Dodgers, but you only get +300 odds and need to put more money down in order to get a larger return. Best bet was ATL a couple weeks ago. They were at +700 and now are at +450 after taking the division lead.
  3. Same with Bradley Zimmer.
  4. $5 to win/place on the Guardians pays out $175. +2200 odds to win the World Series.
  5. It might not be a big market matchup that has the hype as a Dodgers/Astros or Dodgers/Yankees World Series matchup, though as a baseball fan, St. Louis/Cleveland would be a fun series to watch.
  6. I'm likely going to bet some money on them making the World Series. They have good odds. Also, I wouldn't sleep on St. Louis in the NL.
  7. In comparison to bats like Yordan Alvarez, Vlad needs to show his 2021 season was no fluke. Yes he's been solid still in 2022 with a 130 wRC+ though is that worth a crazy $300M contract?
  8. Biggest Blue Jay homer on this board!
  9. Blue Jay homers have blinders on and only see his 2021 season. They live in la la land!
  10. Orioles have a left-handed heavy lineup. Kikuchi actually might have success against them for 4 or 5 innings. I wouldn't waste Manoah on a game that pretty much is meaningless. Jays are a stronger team in a Wildcard Series with Gausman/Manoah pitching Game 1 and 2.
  11. There is even a chance with Manoah on the mound Wednesday, the Jays could lose still. So imagine the Jays lose, don't clinch home field and then don't have Manoah for the Wildcard matchup. Would be a huge letdown knowing he pitched in a game that didn't make a difference and that he can't be used fully for the Wildcard series. If he pitches Wednesday, he would only have 3 days rest for a game on Sunday if it gets to a Game 3.
  12. I would call Ross Atkins just to double check. Haha tough call, maybe wait until Monday or Tuesday if you could? Anyone else you could drop?
  13. Ivan Miroschnichenko is such an awesome name!
  14. It's confusing, I thought I was up as well haha but says 1 pick until my turn haha.
  15. I picked two players and put them in my queue and set auto-draft from my queue only since I'll be out this afternoon.
  16. Buck is a really nice guy and always has been great with fans! Bumped into him in the elevator at the Ritz Carlton in Philly when the Jays were in town, saw we were from Toronto and he initiated conversation with me and my friend for the entire ride down. Wish him and his family all the best moving forward. He was a class act.
  17. Yeah but there were only two wildcard matches correct? Now there are 4 total (2 in the AL and 2 in the NL).
  18. Jays will get the less desirable time for sure. I'm sure the game on Friday, so many tickets will be available on StubHub less than the Blue Jays box office if it's a 12:30PM start time.
  19. Atlanta is the better team in my opinion, though will definitely be a fun series to watch this weekend!
  20. https://www.sportsnet.ca/mlb/article/yankees-broadcaster-pokes-fun-at-blue-jays-guerrero-jr-after-clinching-win/
  21. Most historic game ever: David Wells throwing a perfect game with a hangover. Don't think we'll ever see another pitcher accomplish that in our lifetime!
  22. I would go with Zimmer and JBJ over Tapia.
  23. Imagine if Kikuchi pitched a gem Game 1! Jays would easily be able to lock up the series with Gasuman and Manoah for Game 2 and 3!
