I still say Buffalo. As long as they don't beat themselves.
  2. Roberto Osuna?
  3. Will be interesting to see how much he gets.
  4. Not a bad signing as a 1B/DH bat against RHP. He can get on-base still and has some pop left in the bat.
  5. A lot of the trade does ride on what the Blue Jays do with that extra money they save. If they don't reinvest that money elsewhere on the roster for 2023, then yeah in the short term doesn't look like a huge win. Though doubt the Blue Jays just stand pat and not add another OF by time Opening Day comes around. From a controllability perspective, if Swanson over the next three seasons combines to post 4-5 WAR as a reliever, along with Macko doing something, then the Jays benefit for sure.
  6. US and England should be a good match later!
  7. It's a tough one for sure. Thanks for that solid offer! Will definitely give it some consideration.
  8. I could also make a trade in this league.
  9. Could be open to making a blockbuster like trading Freddie Freeman. Maybe a 3B or a SS. Could also move one of my excess 2B either Wong or Polanco.
  10. Looking to make a Thanksgiving Day trade!
  11. Yeah I never understood the Grichuk contract extension at all. I had no issue with the trade when it was made but didn't think there was a need to sign him to an extension. Some other trades like you mentioned, they never got the best value back. Osuna I guess was tough because the allegations against him after.
  12. Brewers can't waste these next two seasons with both Woodruff and Burnes under control. Don't think they'll ever have another powerful 1-2 punch like that for a while!
  13. Canada has to beat Croatia on Sunday or at worst draw. Hope Belgium than beats Morocco which they should and their third game against Croatia. Canada then needs to beat Morocco which can be doable. They could have either tied or beat Belgium today if some of those shots found the back of the net.
  14. Belgian soccer fans are super nice. When I was at the Euros in 2016 and saw Italy vs. Belgium in Lyon, the night before all their fans were out drinking, having a great time and very friendly even towards Italian fans, even during and after the game. Huge respect!
  15. Question is would the Blue Jays have enough to make a package for Woodruff or Burnes?
  16. Gallo would be a great bat as a platoon. Has 30-40 HR upside, and would love hitting at the Rogers Centre. Definitely on board if Toronto signed him.
  17. Yup. Big win by Japan in the opening game. Croatia and Morocco tied 0-0 which is good for Canada. Lets hope Belgium can be another team that is upset, but doubt it. If Canada loses, hope they keep it close and its only 1-0 or 2-1 at least. A tie would be huge!
  18. Hunter Renfroe looks a bit like Mike Trout haha.
  19. There is always a top team that gets knocked out in the group stages at these tournaments.
  20. Interesting read from MLB.com: https://www.mlb.com/news/ranking-shohei-ohtani-trade-fits Ohtani's top trade destinations if Angels eye a deal 2) Blue Jays Toronto doesn’t really have to do much of anything at all, if it doesn’t want to; nearly the entire core that made it to the Wild Card round still remains. You could add some relievers and call it a day, if you really wanted to. But there’s an argument to be made that the core could use some shaking up, too -- that the young relatives of famous ballplayers could use some new voices around them. Baseball-wise, it’s a fit, as it would be for nearly any team. The DH spot is flexible, especially if they trade one of their surplus of catchers in an Ohtani deal, and the need for a lefty bat has been an obvious one for some time. The rotation does have Alek Manoah and Kevin Gausman atop it, but Ross Stripling is a free agent, Hyun-jin Ryu is injured, and José Berríos and Yusei Kikuchi were -- charitably -- inconsistent in 2022. In a tough division, sometimes loud moves need to be made. None would be louder than this.
  21. Kiermaier is pretty dreamy haha
  22. Definitely will be a lot of suitors for Bellinger. Like JPM said, he could sign with a rebuilding team, build up his value, and force them to trade him at the deadline removing the QO.
  23. I just think a player like him won't age well and he'll likely have to move off CF. Reminds me a bit like Dexter Fowler. I think over the next two-three years Nimmo should be fine, but after that I'm not so sure.
