  1. Yeah no need to have both Zimmer and JBJ on the roster. Would keep Zimmer for his defense and baserunning abilities over JBJ. Biggio for his LH bat and his position eligibility will be valuable in a short series.
  2. Yeah if Kikuchi makes 60-70 pitches today, he likely would be unavailable until Game 3 of the Wild Card series anyways and would the Jays really want to use him in a Game 3? If he pitches well today, definitely can give him a look for the ALDS as an extra lefty out of the pen who can also pitch multiple innings if need be.
  3. Yeah definitely worth getting seats in the outfield. Even if you don't catch the HR ball, at least you get to watch a game and an historic one possibly.
  4. He wasn't even close to the ball from the looks of it lmao.
  5. Frankie Lasagna at least got some free air time from it on BT with Sid. Free promotion for his restaurant downtown on a major morning show. Not bad. The other guy, yeah I feel for especially.
  6. Good point. They likely would do a doubleheader on Wednesday if tonight is rained out. But I doubt they would force the Blue Jays to play on Thursday unless it was a meaningful game. That would suck. Doubleheader on Wednesday wouldn't be bad. They would get an extra roster spot correct? Also, only 7 innings, so let both White and Kikuchi start and let them throw 100 or so pitches to rest the pen. I would be more worried about playing conditions for the positional players. Wouldn't want anyone getting injured on a wet field.
  7. When I miss one or two teams in a NFL pool, I can't sleep an entire week. Imagine how he feels.
  8. I think I heard on MNF the four time slots are 2PM, 4PM, 6 PM and 8PM if I'm not mistaken. Might have been hearing things haha.
  9. See you Saturday Jay!
  10. Facing the Rays is like when the Leafs play the Boston Bruins in the first round. You want to avoid them if you could.
  11. Nah but I see them resting some of their regulars over the next two games if they can't get the 1st Wildcard seed. So anything could happen.
  12. Would rather face the Mariners instead of the Rays at the Rogers Centre.
  13. Crazy! I hope he plays another season.
  14. Pujols with another HR tonight! I hope he plays one more season in STL!
  15. Maybe Manoah character wise reminds him a lot of his old self when he was pitching with the Jays.
  16. Yeah they turned SWR into Berrios, who is younger and better than Stroman IMO as well.
  17. You think Kay could have transitioned into a lights out arm out of the pen with his stuff.
  18. Manoah will only have made three more starts than Verlander at seasons end, unless Manoah pitches Game 162 lol.
  19. Sportsnet should hire Gibby in some sort of capacity. If this is Buck's last season, would love to see Gibby in the broadcast booth with Dan Shulman.
  20. If the games are meaningless, I'm assuming you would have a double-header one of those days or MLB would just cancel them rather than having the Jays make up those games on the Thursday. If it's a definite that Seattle gets the second wildcard, no need to play those games on the Jays end. Baltimore is already eliminated as well.
  21. Possibly. I wish Pujols still plays for another season or two haha. Though yeah, Cruz would be a perfect fit in STL as a DH/bat off the bench.
  22. Lets say if Vlad goes out in 2023 and 2024 posting similar numbers to his 2021 season, would he all of a sudden go from being a $300M + contract extension to a $400M contract extension? Like if we're all throwing numbers in the $300M range right now after his 2022 season, wouldn't it still be close to the same two years down the road? Sure maybe a little more money, though nothing too drastic.
  23. He would hit 60 if he did.
  24. If you have to pay $300M + for Vlad now, better to wait maybe another year or so to see if he returns to his 2021 level where he can be a 5-6 WAR player consistently. Let him prove himself which benefits both him and the Jays. I doubt the price changes that much given he's a 1B/DH bat and will even be a couple of years older as well afterwards. If you're only getting a 3 WAR player like this season, he's not worth the $300M + contract.
