  1. Yeah Ohtani likely signs with the Dodgers. Second favourites would be the Mets or Yankees. Maybe the Mariners or Red Sox are sleepers.
  2. All you need is to get a spot in the Playoffs and anything can happen. My team last season wasn't one of the elite teams but won 2 rounds and pushed BTS that final week if I recall.
  3. Yeah don't know why he's selling either. Havok24 has a winning record thus far and has really some solid core pieces.
  4. I'll go with Varsho again
  5. Yeah they're a tough team to watch because you want to root for them to do well and make the Postseason though it's the same thing every season with them. We'll never see Trout and Ohtani in the Postseason together in the same uniform which is such a huge disappointment from a fans perspective.
  6. Ohtani definitely walks.

I'm a rational Leafs fan and hope they go far in the Playoffs this year. Are they Stanley Cup caliber? If they can beat Boston, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I have a Graboviski jersey that I bought in 2008 and supported them during the tough growing seasons when a lot of people couldn't give a rats ass about them. They made the Playoffs in 2013 and came close to beating the Bruins. Also, was a fan during the days of Sundin, Mogilny, Roberts, Tucker, Thomas, CuJo etc. Was at Game 5 in 2000 during the first round where Steve Thomas scored the OT winner against the Senators! Remember they almost came close to reaching the Stanley Cup in 2002, but ran into a hot Hurricanes team unfortunately in the Eastern Conference Finals. So don't say I'm not a Leafs or hockey fan. I'm just rational when it comes to the Leafs. And yeah in my opinion, Olympic hockey when in the later stages is better hockey. Agree to disagree. But I prefer seeing the best talent and skill on the ice.

The best in Olympic hockey is better than the best in the NHL Playoffs. It's more talent/skills on display rather than toughness/physicality. I'd rather watch the best athletes perform. NHL Playoffs are fun, not denying that. But yes by time the Stanley Cup rolls around, teams are exhausted and the best isn't on display. Your Leafs are built better for Olympic hockey than the NHL Playoffs. Enjoy tonight's win and Thursday's most likely. Bruins are going to destroy the Leafs in the next round. Hope the Leafs could beat them, but in terms of toughness, Bruins have the edge.

If Leafs could wrap this up on Thursday, would be huge even for the next series. Good to be well rested heading into Boston. Would be nice if the Panthers can sneak out a win this Wednesday haha.
  10. He did strike out 11 against the Twins in his last start. But yeah he is no longer an ace or front of the rotation starter. Doubt he even throws 150 innings for the Sox this season.
  11. He's the best! I'm watching every Spencer Strider start this season on MLB TV and buying his jersey online. Will also try to trade for him in every fantasy league.

Leafs should take care of business in Game 5. Tampa will definitely put up a fight and won't be easy, but like you said if they could hold them off in the early going, they should win. Tampa looked tired halfway through the third and in OT.
  13. Jesse Carlson? haha Not sure if the Jays had a Lemon.

Spanky partying big tonight! Will raise a glass with him to celebrate!

This game was so huge for them! Leafs will win in 5. I said it at the beginning of the series, they need to beat Tampa in 5! Can't afford to go 6 or 7 games against them.

Haha it's the truth. You know it! This team in R2 will get crushed by the Bruins. Hope they can pull out the win tonight in OT! What a comeback!

I loved Tucker. Awesome player! Meh, against the Ottawa Senators and New York Islanders in R1, sure. But when they met New Jersey a couple years in R2, they couldn't compare. Still a lot of their top players weren't physical. This team isn't physical at all. Guys don't finish checks or get scared along the boards. Regardless, hope they can win tonight in OT!
  18. The Jays bullpen in 2015 was really solid. They still had two/three non-closing elite relievers. Sanchez became one of them, Cecil and Liam Hendriks (but he wasn't used in high leverage situations that much). Guys like LaTroy Hawkins, Aaron Loup, Bo Schultz, Ryan Tepera, Mark Lowe were all solid middle relievers. The 2023 Jays bullpen is definitely missing a Sanchez, Cecil and Hendriks. Lets hope Pearson can fill the role of Sanchez, Green can come back midseason, and maybe Pop can start being used in higher leverage situations.

Definitely will be fun seeing Rodgers play in Buffalo this season!

The ironic thing is, the team that you support isn't even built for the type of play in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. They're more suited for Olympic hockey. Even during the Sundin years, where they actually went past the first round several times, they weren't a tough hard hitting team.

Yeah I think the last time NHL players participated were in 2014 in Sochi. So almost 10 years.

NHL Players aren't able to participate now in Olympic hockey, so yeah obviously. When was the last time they were allowed to participate? 2014?

Should have read my post and the specifics. Sure if it's Canada vs. Italy, that game will be a joke. I was talking about when the elite teams play each other. You're watching the best of the best square off, talent wise!

Should read my posts. I said when the elite teams play against each other like Canada, USA, Russia, Sweden etc. A lot more talent is on display. I couldn't care about watching crappy players like Wayne Simmonds or Ty Domi play in the Playoffs only because they act as tough guys on the ice.
  25. Tucker will be fine. He'll get a new show eventually or start his own podcast. He has a huge following. Doubt anyone brings on Dom Lemon for a Prime Time role again. Maybe he finds himself as a host on a morning show on NBC or CBS. Maybe the View haha.
