You described it perfectly. In Olympic hockey, there is no way a top country like Canada, USA, Russia, Sweden etc., even rosters useless players like Wayne Simmonds or Tanner Jeannot. Olympic hockey is really the highest level of hockey, more than the NHL Playoffs. From watching the Canada/USA Gold Medal game in 2010, you'll never see that level of hockey in a NHL Playoff game. Yes granted, NHL Playoff series are Best of 7, though I bet if you had those 2010 teams playing a Best of 7, would have been amazing hockey every game!
  3. I'll go with Varsho

I prefer Olympic hockey the best IMO. Faster skating game, more skill being displayed and not as much physicality as in the NHL Playoffs.
  5. Yeah I'm going to try starting tonight haha.

    Must win for Edmonton tonight.
  7. Yeah it's a shame this is happening the second season in a row in the AL East. Not much you can do. Jays have to keep pace and hope they can go on a major run at some point in May or June. Taking 2 of 3 against the Yankees was huge. Hope they could sweep the White Sox at home this week, or at least win 2 of 3. There are no more excuses that "it's still early" if the Jays lose a winnable game in April or May. When you have a team like the Rays banking wins early, you have to keep within striking distance.
  8. Gotta start betting the Rays, so they lose! I'll take one for the team haha.
  9. Please put on entry waivers in LOD
  10. This will likely be an issue in the Postseason unless someone like Pearson or Green can take on that role of a relief ace not named Romano. Blue Jays bullpen is decent and has nice depth but like Laika said, it's a bunch of middle relievers. Ideally you want to have another relief ace or two who isn't your closer.

Big win for the Leafs. Was watching the game and they definitely pulled out a tough grueling win. Hope they can take care of business in Game 4 and come back to Toronto and clinch in Game 5.
  13. They had some good teams in the early part of the last decade. Need to build up some more pitching. Could be a opening in the NL Central over the next couple of seasons. If the Brewers lose both Burnes and Woodruff as FAs, they won't be as good. St. Louis is getting older. Cubs are heading in the right direction, and the Reds could be as well. Pirates definitely can make some noise.
  14. He's definitely one of the few baseball stars I would pay to see! When the Angels come to town and if he's pitching, I would definitely splurge to buy good seats.
  15. Gallen is a stud. D'Backs could use another power bat or two in their lineup. Their offense has been meh this season.

What do you expect when the Stanley Cup Finals are being played at the end of June? NHL Playoffs are fun, especially during the first round like you said. You'll definitely have a lot of thrilling games. But yeah, you can tell as you go into the later rounds teams do become exhausted and the games are slower paced. It definitely is more of a physical game.
  17. I'll go with Bo again for today
  18. Agree 100% with everything you said. I don't want to hear guys like Mike Wilner after a loss or blowing a game using the excuse, "it's still early." We saw in the AL East that doesn't apply and even more this season. Every game this month is as important as a game in September.
  19. I'll let you know. Would need two tickets! Will ask a friend!
  20. I'll do Bo for tonight

You could tell even with one of his last press conferences, he was hinting that both him and the organization were going to part ways.
  22. Jays have a chance at winning the division still. As long as another team doesn't runaway with it like how the Yankees did in the first half last season and if the Jays don't dig themselves too much in a hole. Rays should cool down, but lets hope they don't do what the Yankees did last season in the first half. Jays at 11-8 considering how underwhelming their rotation has been isn't that bad. I'll take that. Better than being 8-11 which is what they could be.
  23. The surroundings of Vancouver are pretty populated. Cities such as Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey, Langley, White Rock, and Abbotsford. Add that up, you get 2.6 million. Kamloops, Kelowna and Victoria are short flights but driving can be far. Toronto alone has 2.7M. The GTA overall has around 6.2M. That doesn't include Hamilton, Kitchener, Cambridge or St. Catherines, which probably are an additional 1M and aren't that far of drives as well. So you probably have a little over 7 million people all within an hour or so from Toronto.
  24. D'Backs have a chance to win the division or a Wild Card spot this season. Can't afford running him out there every 5th day, so smart move. He's been awful since signing in Arizona. I'm sure he'll get another chance somewhere like Dallas Keuchel did, but I think his days as a Major League pitcher are over.
  25. Taiwanese love baseball, but mainland China not so much. Koreans and Japanese, but they don't make up a majority of Vancouver's Asian population.
