  1. Yeah to use my favourite phrase, "it's still early." We'll have a better idea in July how good this bullpen really is. Factor in this week the Jays had matchup against the White Sox and Mariners. Starters went deep into games, bullpen arms weren't utilized that heavy.
  2. The rotation pitching deeper into games plays a huge role. When you were having starters only pitching 3-4 innings in the early going, it had a negative domino effect on the bullpen. When you have your starters pitching 6-7 innings on a consistent basis like they have, it's having a positive effect on the bullpen. Some tinkering and changes to some pitch arsenals like Laika mentioned with some arms, and adding Swanson have paid early dividends. Also, the Jays just finished a series with the White Sox who are awful and a Mariners team which has greatly underachieved thus far. It's great they're beating up on these teams and banking these early wins!

Bruins or Panthers would be a tough opponent in R2, though I would still take the Panthers. Will be cheering for Florida tomorrow!
  4. I actually like Aaron Judge. Like he doesn't piss me off as some other Yankees players in the past. He's a very likeable player. Him and Mariano. Also, if Judge is out for a while, hurts when the Yankees go up against the Orioles or Rays. So it's not like the Blue Jays are the only team that benefits.
  5. I can't select Varsho anymore for the Blue Jays Home Run Contest. Maybe that's not a bad thing haha.
  6. Yeah if I recall, Orioles have had a fairly easy schedule as well. Not sure how they hold up against the better teams, especially with their pitching staff. They have enough bats and BP arms to beat up on the bad/mediocre teams like Oakland, Detroit, Boston, Chicago, Washington etc. Kyle Gibson is their ace when he should be a No. 4/5 on contending teams at most. Wells has been pretty solid for them thus far but don't think he's anything special, and Grayson does have some nice upside and high K rates. Kremer and Bradish have been awful. It's a rotation full of No. 4/5 starters which won't cut it in the AL East over the full season and against the elite teams.
  7. Also, there was Corbin Carroll or Alek Thomas or Jake McCarthy who could have been targets. Arizona wasn't going to part with Carroll. Thomas hasn't been hitting well either and McCarthy was just sent down. Who knows if any of those three were made available by Arizona.
  8. I'll go with Belt today
  9. If you're around Sunday, let me know!
  10. Thanks again G-Snarls! Much appreciated! Beers on me when I see you!

It's nice to see the Panthers push the Bruins to 7 games. If they can knock out the Bruins in Game 7, there definitely could be an opening for the Leafs to make the Stanley Cup. Leafs need to win tomorrow though! I don't want to see a Game 7 on Monday here in Toronto!
  12. Seriously bet any team run line against Oakland, sure you will make more money than lose over 162 games.
  13. Definitely nice for the Blue Jays to pull out a win tonight! They have to win games like this especially with the way Tampa is playing and heck even Baltimore.
  14. April 28 Vladdy - 1 Point - Bichette - 1 Point - Spanky Chapman - 1 Point - Varsho - 2 Points - Springer - 2 Points - Jonn Belt - 3 Points - Stangstag, JaysBlue Kirk - 3 Points - JaysAllMighty, Dylan Kiermaier - 4 Points - Merrifield - 5 Points - Off the bench: 10 Points -
  15. lmao And how many points did he get me?
  16. They'll be a video tribute for Teo for sure before his At-Bat possibly.
  17. Oakland with a -113 run differential geez. I've been betting teams against them run line, and have been pretty successful most of the time haha.
  18. Are the Jays coming out with City Connect jerseys?
  19. I'll go with Varsho for tonight.
  20. Mariners bats have sucked. If Jays could steal a win tonight against Castillo, that would be huge.
  21. Padres have been huge underachievers and playing like s***. Dodgers have been mediocre. They're not the same powerhouse in the NL West as they were in previous seasons. Dbacks are my pick to win the division. I'm happy to see the Pirates off to a good start, though doubt it lasts. Cardinals need to turn it around before they dig themselves too far of a hole. The Brewers and Cubs in the NL Central are for real IMO. Fun to see the AL West competitive between four teams. Hope the Angels and Rangers can remain in it all season. AL Central sucks. White Sox, Tigers, and Royals will be easy teams to beat up on. AL East is a powerhouse. I don't think Boston finishes above .500, but would be something if all 5 teams finished above .500.
  22. MLB scheduling is awful. There shouldn't be any off days on Fridays. Also, too many afternoon games on Wednesday. They should be reserved only for Thursdays.
  23. If it was Castillo vs. Gausman tonight, would have been great!

Hope the Leafs can wrap up the series on Saturday. If it comes back to Toronto for a Game 7, I would be worried and would go with the Lightning, who are the more experienced team. I know the Leafs had incredible comebacks in Game 3 and 4 in Tampa, though really they did get lucky in both of those games as they could have gone either way. Really, Game 2 is the only game the Leafs looked dominate.
