    Not sure the front office is "woke" but obviously this more impacts Rogers and big sponsors like TD, who are both extremely woke and are deeply tied with the Blue Jays. So wouldn't surprise me if they had a final say in all of this.

    It's also weird why they let the situation play out for over a week. I think if this was because of what Bass reposted, he likely would have been DFAd last week. Why go through all that and then DFA him a week after he made two appearances to apologize etc. Unless TD or Rogers went to Shapiro/Atkins before this weekend and said get rid of him. Otherwise, likely a baseball decision based on the struggles Bass had and the fact they had to call up Mitch White at some point. Timing wise given Francis/BP game on Saturday and with Kikuchi tonight, Jays don't want to burn through their pen so at least White gives them innings to eat up if need be.

    I say way more than 30-40%. A lot of players just keep their personal beliefs and thoughts to themselves, which is a good thing.

    Jays weren't going to DFA Mitch White given his age, control and ability to start. He had to get called up at some point.

    Orioles as an underdog aren't bad actually given those odds. Jays odds suck. I'm feeling lucky tonight and going to hop on the Kim Ng bandwagon. Going to bet Arraez for NL MVP and Marlins to win the World Series.

    Brandon Belt is a bargain. Imagine how the Astros feel about giving Jose Abreu a 3 year/$58.5 million contract.

    Kim Ng's plan of going after all slap hitters is working! The new market efficiency. Screw the long ball!

    I've never seen so many people divided over a Blue Jays trade. The pro Kirk side goes crazy if you criticize Kirk or say anything bad about him and want Moreno to fail miserably. The pro Moreno side loves hating on Kirk and want him to fail miserably. Its okay to think Moreno could have a better long term career than Kirk. It's also okay to think Kirk can be better long term. It's also okay to criticize the way Kirk has played thus far and okay to question Moreno's tools and abilities.

    Easier said than done. Jays still need to fill those last two rotation spots with Kikuchi + someone else for the remainder of the season. Gausman, Bassitt and Berrios have all had a healthy track record, but if even one of them miss time on the IL, things start to become a dumpster fire.

    Strider gave up 8 ER tonight. Verlander wasn't sharp either. Looks like his best days are behind him.

    Yeah I don't expect Gausman to put up a 8-10 WAR season like Clemens or Doc did while here, but should be good for a WAR above 6 this season as long as he's healthy. Definitely nice to have after all these years!

    Got that feeling for two months in 2015 when the Jays traded for David Price. But yeah, nice that the Jays have one who isn't a rental and is here in the long term.

    Nice taking 3 of 4 from the Astros. Gausman, Bassitt and Berrios all solid! Hope the Jays could take 2 of 3 against the Twins.

    I don't think we've seen another dominate starter like Gausman since Doc or Clemens on the Jays.
