I agree, what an odd choice to knowingly move to a contact pitcher early in his career, he's no Doc Halladay... he should've been adjusting to command and contact at this point in his career now.
The good thing is they didn't go to an Arb hearing and maybe there's some good faith in an extension, haha. They now have about a month to get it resolved.
He left them with 10/400 so 40AAV and after the ludicrous contract Soto signed so 40M AAV apparently he wants 450, that's a lot of $$$. It's not an easy decision by any means. Direction would be nice though. We're all still waiting.
For a lottery ticket 20 year old reliever a who has command issues. Ughh... he would have been nice. He's young so there's still upside in the bat as he's just 23 with good D, that's an MLB backup at worst. Ah well...
