  1. Oscar Tavarez - had a poor start but has been climbing pretty steadily, up to a .831 OPS Danny Hultzen - started great but shoulder troubles have derailed his season. Its been too quite for my liking Gregory Polanco - has had a great year so far with the power, steals, and average holding from last year. I see him rocketing up the prospect rankings. Alex Meyer - A bit up and down with him, but the K's are there John Schoop - Pretty disappointing year for Schoop. I can take solice in the fact he's a 21 year old at AAA and a SS. Marcell Ozuna - STEAL is the only way to describe this pick. Good power continued in Jacksonville this year and he's holding his own in the MLB after a surprising callup.
  2. Disagree. The first inning was pretty crappy luck for the most part. Nolin will be fine
  3. I like this plan... down year, inexplicable use of Suzuki in his place, average defense (which is a huge upgrade for us), and some nice upside.
  4. I liked the bit where they pretended that they were all talking about pitch framing back when JPA was first called up... I certainly don't remember any such conversations.
  5. Yeah, I was just being a prick
  6. Any idea why Stilson has only pitched 4.1 innings this year?
  7. Wow... thats a pretty incredible ERA...
  8. This is the epitome of why I hate JPA... well that and the defense.
  9. My Boy Polanco... kill'n it!
  10. More disappointment in a disappointing season.
  11. +1, h2h is the only way. The power rankings are just a fun bit of information.
  12. On a separate note, I've been in northern Ontario building decks for the last 4 days and without internet... If anyone was messaging me over the weekend, I may miss it while reviewing a full inbox. Feel free to send anything again.
  13. http://i.imgur.com/Ha7QeDT.png http://i.imgur.com/uVaAnja.png Wow, I really need Garza and JJ to rescue my pitching....
  14. I don't see why you have to confirm that vast majority of plays, the game should just keep moving for the most part. If you have a guy in the back watching every play, he can easily see if its close enough to warrant a review before the next batter even steps in the box.
  15. Exactly... We need dedicated replay guys. The thing that takes a long time to do is the fat ass umps trundling off and on the field. Another thing going for this is that some of the HR / not HR calls can be tough and take some time to review, but a bunch of the safe/out, fair/foul, on the bag/not on the bag a la Helton haha. Those calls would be pretty quickly made if it was just coming to the ump from baseball HQ.
  16. Not a bad list, I think your a bit higher on Crawford that I am. Don't like some of the stuff I read about his bat.
  17. I'm talking RTTS more than playing a game. I don't think I have terrible habbits. I usually see plenty of pitches in an AB and get a good pitch to hit. I just find that a hittable ball generally comes to me before ball 4. Who knows, maybe I'm doing it wrong.
  18. What version is it, mine is a few years old (which may or may not be much different that the one your playing).
  19. It just frustrates me that my players always end up with a OBP that's only slightly higher than his AVG. Those guys frustrate me IRL
  20. Too lazy to calculate it? http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/l/lindad01.shtml But for real the best thing I've seen this season is a 17BB/12K out of Lind... I honestly would never have expected this and its wonderful.
  21. I find the same thing with the last version of 'The Show' I played. I hate when I get the advancement goal to walk X times in the next Y series. Even when I'm trying to walk, I never get thrown enough balls. The vast majority of walks I drew were on 4 straight or intentionally.
  22. That's pretty much what I thought unless he had something terrible happen that I didn't know about.
