Part of the reason I like both Rafael and Paxton is they are elevated by playing in great pitching environments for half their starts. As I said in the DDL forum thread, its a trade that could turn out really really bad for me, but I'm confident enough (or I wouldn't have made the trade).

The thing is I really don't like Lake, Wood, or Graham all that much. Conversly, I really REALLY like Montero. Time will tell, but I think Upton is going to settle in with an OPS in the low to mid 8's with a 25-30 HR's yearly (with lower and lower SB's). Certainly a nice, asset, but not elite. I could be horribly wrong on that one, but thats what I think at this point.

I promoted Marcel Ozuna, who was ok for a while and faded. I have high hopes for the future as the average was there for a bit but his power never showed up in the majors (.102 ISO in the minors and rose at every level)

haha, poor Jesse Hahn and Max Kepler. Top 10's may be a little 'inclusive', but it might be mildly entertaining to do a top 5 prospects from each team. If anyone wants to send me top 5's for each team I would be happy to compile them so we have an aggregate top 5 for each team. BTW, I stress 'mildly entertaining'... its a boring time in baseball haha.

My god we better not trade him... we NEED low cost pitching over the next few years. There is literally no other way to make this rotation work for the next 2-4 years without something coming out of our system for league min.

I love Porcello in there (Janssen Trade?) I'd be happy with Dickey Morrow Buehrle Ubaldo Porcello (maybe Messanger?) Give us some nice options when the eventual injury pops up (Stroman, Hutch, Drabek, McGowan, Happ, Redmond). I'd be ok if any of those guys had to start a few games. In fact I'd be HAPPY if Stroman come up mid-season.

I actually like Garza, but he's probably going to make a lot of cash for someone who hasn't played enough the last few years

Whats the more desirable alternative? I would certainly like Tanaka more, but I don't see it happening. Garza is an ok option, but he has more durability concerns. He is more consistent (when pitching), but probably doesn't have the same upside). I don't like the idea of Santana here at all. Flyball guy, low K's, not a huge upside, and probably cost more than Ubaldo. AJ and Kuroda are likely staying put or retiring. I would love to take a flier on Bartolo, but he isn't a top guy and we need one. Base on our roster we basically have to 'go for it' next year. I just feel Ubaldo is the bets option we have available.

I honestly think Jimenez is the best option out there. We put ourselves in a spot where we NEED a starter and he is probably the best combination of contract term, ceiling, and durability out there. I'd be happy with a 4 year deal on Ubaldo.

I know there is a lot of Leafs fans on this forum, so i'm curious to hear your opinions. The Leafs go on a hot streak every year (at one point or another, usually early). It always brings out the parade planners, Jeff Blair is on the fan talking about the Leafs being the best team in Canada. Is that really the feeling around Toronto?

Heeeeeeeelllll yeah I do I'm hoping Yordano, Meyer, or Hultzen will be able to help me next year. Possibly Tanaka depending how the waiver draft works out (I'd take Abreu to replace Loney as well).

I'm thinking 10 hitters, 6 starters, 4 relievers. I didn't see myself keeping as many of 4 relievers, but I think that's the way its going to shake out.
