    Read my post, he has fine ops+ but nothing to show for it. The stats don't lead to runs.

    Is it just me or does Lind seem to have high statistics like ops+ and so on but nothing to show for it. It seems like he's the last guy you'd send up if you need a run in. Compare him to Francisco. Similar games and Plate appearances.

    With Stroman and Collins is this the shortest pitching matchup?

    Stieb's no hitter seemed more of a personal accomplishment. And it was a great one. The Carter homer had wider implications. Carter wasn't the greatest player we had but he was always in the middle of great things. I think overall Robbie Alomar was the greatest player we ever had (during his time here).

    Definitely the Carter home run and realizing what just happened. Almost surreal. Next is the drive of 85, George Bell's catch.

    Just because you don't know what their impact is doesn't mean the manager has no impact. It's like saying in poker that the winner is always the one with the best hand.

    He was tried as a starter in the minors.

    Agreed last year was the year to do it but that's gone now. Can we do it now?

    Think he could be traceable if he comes back by the ASG?

    I would do one of those options that kicks in if few games are played to give the team some protection but no way 10 million for 8 games.

    Want him back? - yes Expect him back? - no If we didn't sign JJ for 14 mill, do you think we will go 10 for Morrow? Not expecting it given the financial constraints.

    Depend on where he was when it occurred. If it happened in june and he was in the minors then the remainder of that year wouldn't count but the next season would count for service time as you can't option an injured player.
