  1. Gotta admit, I'm not a fan of that either.
  2. ...and just like that -- the Rays winning streak ends. Time for a new streak of losses.
  3. Those gloves of Paredes look like he should be doing the dishes...and go POP!!!!
  4. damn, knee contusion for Berrios. Don't like that.
  5. Oh NO. Bases load plus Belt. Please let me be wrong.
  6. and while Belt is my least favorite player, KK is quickly moving up to my favorite.
  7. bad umpire involving himself in that KK stolen base attempt. Should have waited until the play was finished and then called the violation. This is a way to get a stolen base cancelled.
  8. Just thinking, with all of the changes, has anyone seen a pitcher waiving off a catcher's pitch call? I mean anywhere?
  9. Those high fastballs -- we're getting them called strikes? When did that start happening?
  10. Is it just my imagination or do the bats look a bit better finished? They seem polished and have some kind of grip. Springer's was one example.
  11. watching the Tigers on the bases makes me have more respect for guys like KK. Fundamentals are most important.
  12. thank god yesterday's game is over: I was getting exhausted with all the advertising for the stadium. I get it, you have poutine dogs now. Okay.
  13. Next time somebody says Manoah should be the season starter: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  14. No way that's 90-92. Must be the gun but 3 outs are 3 outs.
  15. Over/under for Belt on Strikeouts: 2.5. Anyone?
  16. I'm a little concerned about Berrios and Kikuchi and always ready for Jansen to break down. Other than that, I'm pretty happy. If Belt goes down (almost wish he would admit it) there's tons of replacements.
  17. That's why I figure he's 4th-5th on the depth chart for a reliever. I think our bullpen has adequate AAA depth but the depth at catcher would require a 40 man roster spot. The rotation is a bit tight, nobody that I would say "Yeah, we need to bring that guy up." So I figure Thornton and Hatch are the 39-40 men on the roster.
  18. I get that and totally agree. I think that the way the bullpen is being used right now, we're going to have to call on some replacements soon.
  19. True, but he's older, has only one option left and there's a lot of relievers above him on the list. I'm just trying to figure out the 40 and the callup list. We're tight on catchers and may need a 40 man spot for a backup, Lopez seems to be the middle-infielder if a part time role and Barger if more is available, for the outfield probably Barger if we needed a a starter and Lukes for the bench.
  20. Romano has a 99 MPH fastball. Hatch does not. I just figure on the 40 man roster, he's #40. Not including the guys that can go onto the 60 day IL.
  21. Thomas Hatch has moved to the pen, so I imagine he's the next DFA when we need a 40 man spot. Sounds like he's losing value.
  22. I would say as constructed it's going to burn out. Because we have starters that can barely go 4-5 innings, we need some 2-3 inning pitchers. Probably 2 of them. The higher leverage guys should be more than fine, if used properly.
  23. maybe the improvement is tied to the dye job disappearing. :-)
