  1. Agree, White isn't going anywhere except maybe the disabled list and then stay in Florida to get some innings. Other than injuries, I think only Richards is on the bubble.
  2. If White is held back a bit, maybe it makes sense to start him on the DL and then get some innings on rehab.
  3. Most appreciated! I'd never been to the site before. So basically just White and Richards without options. Not too bad. I figured Richards would be released if he didn't make it and White is the only one that may want to be kept.
  4. Question: who (that won't make the roster) is out of options and has to be waived? I'm thinking Hatch?
  5. Is it just spring training or is Chapman hitting higher in the order than expected? This is a couple of games with him cleanup.
  6. I can imagine there will be a few short leashes this year. I'm also wondering about the effect of the new clock and shift rule. Some pitchers could be hit more than others. Haven't figured out who.
  7. Yeah I'm guessing Richards falls off the plate this year.
  8. VP Baseball Strategy from the Astros??? Sounds SUPER DODGY.
  9. Stuff was real, hit 101. Control may be an issue.
  10. The no-shift rule is really having an impact.
  11. Definitely. I just figure if he's hitting his spots, it will be easier on his arm. Every time he pitches I expect some other body part to be flying off.
  12. Didn't like his inning that much. I was watching the catcher's glove comparing setup and where he ended up catching it. Bit of movement there. But I guess when you throw 100, you can miss by a few inches.
  13. Definitely he's a good bat, but from a roster standpoint, he's way behind Vlady and Belt. If he could play some real outfield then he'd have a great shot.
  14. At first I said Vinny Capra, but after seeing him in the outfield and at bat, I'll say no.
  15. Barger is a muscle dude. Reminds me of a bigger Lenny Dykstra.
  16. so I guess that means that it's possible to go 27 outs 27K's without ever throwing a pitch. Kind of like when Tippy Martinez got 3 outs at first base.
  17. That's cool. Thought we might have somebody else in camp. I'm guessing a whole lot of 1-2 innings each.
  18. Excuse my ignorance but who's Chavez?
  19. Just interested in if he throws some strikes. Hopefully he starts off right and carries on from there.
  20. I'm interested in how Kikuchi's control works out. Mainly if he can hit the target. In the video of his warmup he didn't do a great job at that.
