  1. I agree with you for the most part but I think Lopez over Bernard. Lopez brings more versatility and speed. Bernard I don't find that special. Okay for AAA, not much more.
  2. Bernard seems Buffalo-bound.
  3. Most of the long man candidates are on the 40. The only "emergency candidates" who aren't would include Tiedemann, Hutch. Almost all real candidates are on the 40. Keep in mind, we have 2 40 man spots available right now
  4. 10 minor league starts and he will be. Won't be surprised if he finishes the year in Toronto.
  5. Tiedemann isn't ready for full time play yet, but he will be soon...real soon.
  6. Makes sense. When he followed through in a more traditional way, he was lower in the strike zone and about 92. When his arms were all over the place, he was 96 and it was high (but a swinging strike).
  7. Kikuchi is getting decent results but his pitching motion isn't very fluid: he's all over the place in his follow through with both of his arms.
  8. Yeah but I figure it's spring: the best time to expose all of these issues and questions.
  9. the process will get ironed out. Probably needs to be umpire sets up, the clock on the hitter starts up, then hitter sets up and clock on pitcher starts up.
  10. Isn't extended in Dunedin? Think we're saying the same thing. We probably have a few candidates for the long man role: Thompson, Pearson, Zulu?
  11. So he might stay behind in Dunedin and get some more innings. Not a surprise.
  12. The science of how to "do" spring training is growing by leaps and bounds. I remember when it used to be to run the fat off a couple of the bigger guys like George Bell.
  13. Berrios' pitches, individually seem to look pretty good, it just seems he doesn't use them together correctly. Maybe he needs somebody to come in and re-order how/where he throws.
  14. Once the MRI was performed, it is not a lie to say no MRI is planned.
  15. I was also noticing that Lopez is on his last option year. So if we want somebody to be up and down to Buffalo, it's probably his year. Next year he makes the team or is done.
  16. Maybe as part of load management, Springer and KK will only go about 7 innings and then replaced. So maybe the bench will be used more often. I'm good with that.
  17. Lopez seems to be getting a lot of playing time. He may be a real candidate for the roster.
  18. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Probably 2-3 spring games in the outfield is all he will need. Probably towards the end of spring training.
  19. Yeah no starting lineup here. And I don't expect Lopez and Barger in the lineup (injuries aside). I still think Biggio can bring something to the lineup and I'd definitely like to see more 2/3 out of him.
  20. Well we didn't exactly light the night on fire. Two runs by 4th string catchers.
  21. I was just joking: this is a spring game and Baltimore. So no-hitters like this don't even count.
  22. Way to Jinx, Spanky!! Hit just given up.
  23. Yes, looks like Dunedin City owns the stadium but we have a 25 year lease. TD Ballpark Guide Address: 373 Douglas Avenue, Dunedin, FL 34698 In early 2019, construction began on a newly renovated TD Ballpark and will continue to be home to the Toronto Blue Jays Spring Training and the Dunedin Blue Jays under a new 25-year lease agreement between the Blue Jays, the City of Dunedin, Pinellas County and the state of Florida. TD Ballpark hosted its first game on February 24, 2020 as the Toronto Blue Jays took on the Atlanta Braves.
  24. The Jays were early owners of the Dunedin Blue Jays. I believe they put a lot of money into the facilities so they may have some arrangement/ownership.
