  1. I'm not evening saying dump him because of the bat. I'm saying dump him because you may get something for him and he's likely to start becoming a below replacement level player once his legs do go.
  2. I wonder if the Jays end up selling this year if it's the time to see if you can get anything for Pillar. Range in the OF seems to have decreased, his base running has been poor this year and he's always been a legs reliant player. He's getting around that age where a lot of speed dependent guys seem to fall off a cliff.
  3. I always enjoy watching over age players beat on a league and then watch people get excited about it because they're unaware of the context and then when they struggle at age appropriate levels seeing fans hopes crushed is where I then take pleasure.
  4. Kacy Clemens should be a fun guy to watch. Reasonable power, pretty decent K:BB. Likely busts a season or two in but who knows.
  5. Could be neat to have a player who's a C but also plays 1B/LF in some type of rotating super platoon.
  6. Apparently Bitchette Jr and Vlad Jr both singled, then did a double steal.
  7. I imagine Grilli is being released after this game.
  8. I use it for streaming as I make enough money the cost isn't an issue and 2 day shipping, this being in Ottawa.
  9. Your co-leader for fWAR this season, Justin Smoak at 1.1 with a 145 wRC+. He's basically earned his extension at this point, though we all know that the WAR can of course decline.
  10. I think his BABIP was up there. This season .297 BABIP and sub 20% K-rate, he's legit doing really well.
  11. I'm saddened when I don't see Coghlan in LF against RHP. Carrera has been brutal in the last month.
  12. http://www.tsn.ca/radio/toronto-1050/romero-toronto-gave-me-some-of-the-best-memories-of-my-life-1.747096 Ricky Romero on the Scott McArthur show, pretty good interview. Goes into a little bit of detail about his knee injuries basically ending his career.
  13. Hopefully that BABIP for Rowdy starts coming more towards his career norm instead of being 100+ points below it.
  14. Pentecost might be back to being a legit prospect again.
  15. I know the sample size is stupidly small, ~130 PA, but man Bichette's line is silly. .419/.512/.571 23:13 K:BB across two levels as an 18/19 year old
  16. He was in the Jays org in 2014 or 2015 I think.
  17. Liriano probably goes out next start and goes 5.2, 14ks, 3bb, 1h, 0r. He is what he is.
  18. Everyone other than Liriano and Howell pitched fairly well today. 13ks, 1bb, 8h in 7.2 IP with 3 runs, that's a great game.
  19. I like Barry, I think he was a bit awkward on camera but he's always come across a bit like Jamie Campbell and that's as a huge Jays fan. Should be fun.
  20. Glad too see Smoak is starting over Carrera this game.
  21. Or do what I'm going to do and watch from work.
  22. I'm hoping that he's fine. It doesn't change the fact I don't want him on the roster.
  23. Well, I don't wish injury on any player but if Carrera is hurt after that collision it improves the LF platoon potentially.
