  1. If ga want to pay a free agent for half a win improvement over Clement...be my guest. That's not a way to move the needle. Incremental win improvements at this point are bull****. Team needs impact bats and pen arms. Kim is neither of those. Edit: Wtf is this censoring crap?
  2. Even so, SP isn't whatvthe Jays need to improve right now. Subbing in Quantrill for Yariel...might be a 1 win improvement. Sure...a win is a win and if the Jays didn't have literally no power aside from Vlad and a bullpen with more holes than OJs defense, it would be a decent gamble
  3. At this point they need to get weird and creative Offer whomever they want to target a big dollar deal with an opt-out after 2025. Make 2025 a bigger AAV than the rest. Do that with Bregman and Santander and then pray they both opt out after Vlad and Bo leave. Seriously just throw money at 2025, and hopefully make one last deep run with Bo and Vlad hopefully hitting like they can. If not, deadline trades and the firesale to end all firesales
  4. Kim = Clement. We don't need him
  5. The border issue..and taxes...those only matter when the team isn't winning.
  6. Not to mention that Kim and Clement are practically the same player with minor differences. We already have his virtual equivalent on the roster for league min
  7. Harry Potter tie-in? I dunno...
  8. That's just the number of injuries he sustained while rehabbing from injuries.
  9. Bichette got himself a haircut. He's at the UFC event in Tampa and the flow is no more.
  10. It's underwhelming, but... the Jays actually got younger as far as position players go with the deal too.
  11. I love it when board romances are in their early stages. It's a nice reminder that spring isn't that far off....
  12. I agree in theory but Vlad has to agree to make that work. If it took 550 million 15 years to do it tomorrow... would you? I wouldn't.
  13. Been using it since it was mentioned here and ... agreed 100%
  14. There next to 0 chance at a pre-free agency extension that's for sure. He'd be an idiot not to go to FA and let teams compete against each other rather than just letting 1 team do it. Even though he's not in Soto's league thus far in his career, if he has a full year like his second half he's gonna get a pile. He's already turned down whatever extension offers the Jays have offered in the past, which I have no idea what dollar value they were in, but... if i had to guess they were in the 200 million range probably pretty early on. Pure speculation on the number of course, but we know they've been talking every offseason since at least 2021. Vlad's just betting on himself like Soto did. It just remains to be seen how it works out for him.
  15. Youre capable of better. Do better
  16. Mountain out of a molehill.
  17. Trading for Crochet will probably make that pain go away rather quickly
  18. Given that the Bo scenario you outlined is likely an impossibility, comparing the 2 is pretty pointless
  19. Horwitz finds himself back with Matt Hague. MVP season incoming
  20. Casuals seem to like the trade...probably more reason to hate it.
  21. Puzzling move overall really.
  22. Probably about to trade Naylor
  23. Yeah looks like its tied to the opt out. Mets can void the opt-out by increasing his annual salary by 4m per season for the remaining 10 years.
  24. Or staying with the Yankees. Best to get him on the other side of the sport.
  25. I know right? Even for Cohen that's ... wow
