    Preceden set earlier this year with Odor should be at least 8. Then he will appeal of course and probably get a game knocked off. Ventura should be gone for 3 starts, he's a moron and has done this repeated times.

    Broke the first rule of fighting for pitchers. He swung with his pitching hand. Crash Davis is not impressed.

    I'm not sure if that's feasible anymore. After 2 full seasons of pen work, he'd take probably 3 seasons to even get up 200 inning capability. Do we want a roster spot going to a guy who might only throw 120 inning next year as a starter, then maybe 160 the next and maybe 200 in 2019? By that time he's only got 1 year left of control unless they pll some wizardry by using an option next year and starting him in Buffalo long enough to avoid super 2 status and possibly squeeze another year of control out of him. But if they do that, then you're only talking about maybe seeing him throw 40 or 50 of his total innings with the big club in 2017 and the rest in Buffalo. That's not a great scenario

    I first had Fernandez and Roark, but had to swap out Roark for Cole to save a bit of money to actually fill out the lineup, looks like I got a bit lucky there

When he refused to be drafted into the army for the Vietnam war and converted to Islam, was arrested and convicted, stripped of the title and then ultiately got his conviction overturned... it was a changing point in history It wasn't just boxing that benefitted from Ali, but the entire world

It's technically off topic from baseball, but as one of the few sports figures that inarguably transcends his sport - i think it should be here.     I just threw up in my mouth. But I do acknowledge it's less of a mistake than resigning DeRozan would be. This team needs some elite skill and talent, not 20 foot chuckers. Also better that the deal replaces his option year instead of adding to it.
