    It really wouldn't have shocked me Martin was setup with his left foot on the foul side of the baseline before he had the ball. Sure the throw took him up the line, bt he could have fielded it while fully inside the baseline. Just glad it went our way since that was one that very easily could have gone against us

    Bautista has never been a positive defensive asset overall. His arm made a few great throws per season but the big picture for his D has always been negative.

    Zeuch has as big an upside as any high school arm, it looks to me like Shatkins wanted to take the college guys with a alot of late helium and then go with the usual signability guys.

    If he could just bump that change usage into double digits and be a legit average pitch even, then he'd be really on the cusp of being an ace. I'll take a solid 2/3 any day of the week though.

    Decent article but he left out a good chunk of info, like his improved swinging strike metrics, which really tell the bigger story of his improvements rather than just saying he's throwing more strikes. He's throwing more strikes, getting more swings and misses in the zone, and on top of that is allowing a ton of weak contact.
