  1. Who the f*** is guarding smith? Oh wait... Demar is. of course.
  2. Lol, how dare anyone try to block Lebron.... gonna be a foul everytime.
  3. I don't think the downgrade on defense from Goins to Travis is even remotely close to the massive upgrade on offense. Travis was a positive defender in his time last year before the injury and there's no reason to expect him to be suddenly below average. He's not elite by any stretch, but he's not a brick-handed moron either. Travis had made 6 times the contributions to the Jays in 238 PAS than Goins has made in 861. It's not close.
  4. Forgot to put in the "about to be" part. Even so, the 3rd time through the order Happ is very hittable. .. opposing OPS near .800. It's the perfect time to have taken him out and let the pen work 6 outs with a 2 run lead.
  5. It is justifiable in the old way of thinking when youre talking about pitch counts... and stuff like the manager wanting his starter to "get the win" ... but when you look at pitchers tendencies to get hit harder the more they see hitters in a game(Happ is not immune to this), and it becomes even more defensible to get him the f*** out of there before the s*** hits the fan. He was going through the order the 4th time, regardless of the pitch count he should have been taken out, thanked for his great day and let the pen work the last 6 outs.
  6. That great, but it was also the 4th time through the lineup. Theres mountains of data that shows hitters have the upper hand the more they see a pitcher. It's not always about pitch counts.
  7. Hate to keep harping on this with Gibbons, but that's another late hook, waiting until the damage hapens to make a move.
  8. The short season leagues don't start until after the amateur draft in June. June 17th is their first game this year. To your second question.... no not really. They'll get a few guys from Bluefield and maybe the GCL from last year, a couple of international FAs, and a few holdover from last year but the majority will be newer college age draftees from this year's draft
  9. Game 45 Pillar (7pts) - Donaldson (2pts) - Deadpool Bautista (2pts) - Jonn Edwin (2pts) - Tulo (3pts) - vdub Smoak (5pts) - Johnhavok Saunders (4pts) - Martin (7pts) - Thole (10pts) - Goins (10pts) - Carrera (10pts) - Barney(10pts) - Burns (10pts) - Paredes (7pts) - o2
  10. It was the headline's fault, I just copied it. I nearly choked when I read it
  11. Harris suspended for PEDs. http://m.milb.com/news/article/20160520179234674/blue_jays_harris_among_four_suspended Don't worry, it's not the good Harris
  12. Just be glad he's not hitting leadoff

  15. I dunno, sounds like it would taste pretty good
  16. Is it bad that I want one of these cups? http://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/roughriders-introduce-rougies-red-punch/#VmGpXXHgPwclp920.97
  17. No trade clauses can f*** the best laid plans right in the poop-chute.
  18. http://m.milb.com/news/article/20160518178840054/blue_jays_harris_enjoys_career_start_for_lugnuts Strict pitch cout for him last year according to this article. 3 innings or 45 pitches, then he was out. That may explain his numbers in part since he wouldn't even get through the lineup twice ever
  19. 3 solo homers... what a dangerous team!
  20. I don't have any issues with Pillar as long as he is hitting 7th 8th or 9th, just f*** off with hitting him at the top.
