  1. No doubt. Varsho is so many tiers better than Straw with the bat, its not close
  2. Tork got himself a rare hanging slidrr from Lauer... thank God he missed it We just cant take him out of the starters role for some other mid-rotation SP can we?
  3. More than likely his elbow is just a flare-up of what hes been dealing with the past 2 seasons or so and just happened to flare up during the ankle thing.
  4. Lauer continues to impress. 56 pitches through 5 innings...
  5. Target him in the offseason, not now.
  6. I think it would help, as long as he actually replaces someone on the current roster, like Lukes or Loperfido and pushed the other to a nearly pure bench role... It also wouldn't be a primary target kind of thing, just a "if we can... we may as well" kind of thing.
  7. Pure speculation... but i guess that's what the trade deadline is for. If Kwan replaced Lukes... I guess that would be where he'd fit best right now, but then they'd still be looking for that RH bat off the bench, unless they've settled on Schneider being that guy Kwan + Clase would be wonderful.
  8. Kid is clearly a monster for his age, but ... who knows how that tracks over the next two. Obviously it's not written in stone that he's signing but for a kid to be his age, playing against 17 and 18 year olds... that's impressive.
  9. Just For Men is missing a glorious opportunity for Atkins as their next spokesperson. Look at the alpha. Pure f*cking boss.
  10. He's already 6'2... and hes probably actually 25
  11. Good god that's a bad call... from a lefty no less there's just no way that ball ever came close. If a sick sweeper from a RHP ended up there you can kinda understand how the ump might get it wrong but... thats just awful
  12. I very much doubt the team is going to subtract from their starting lineup at the deadline.
  13. Just gotta keep them from hitting HRs... I kinda hope the Yanks add Suarez just to add to this defensive shitshow
  14. Vlad up again with runners on and 1 RISP. Seems every PA hes up there with guys on
  15. Keep it moving. Gonna need a double to score Kirk from 3rd
  16. f*** sakes Vlad... stupid RBI doubles when he should be hitting HRs. What a terrible contract
  17. He's never faced Fried before so... let's hope he makes it a horrible experience for Max
  18. Not sure how the Jays know they'll even have 5.7 million available in 2028... not that I can read Spanish at all.
  19. I agree, I just think there's enough teams thinking the same way that the "buy low" wont be as low as we think.
  20. K, let's assume hes the guy. Which arms are you willing to part with?
  21. Im sure thats the plan. Pretty much all the guys they got at last years deadline are in play, plus guys like Roden Im just wondering which of the pitching prospects are most likely gone in 8 days. Probably at least 1 of Rojas, Stanifer. Stephen, King... and probably more. I think they try to hang on to Yesavage unless the target is just too good to pass on. Ricky Ts injury probably keeps him safe...
  22. I guess. It's kinda one of those catch 22's about SPs. Managers in general always take precautions with starter health... if its a blowout win you take them out bevausecwhy have them throw more pitches in a game thats already well in hand? If its a blowout loss... same thing except you don't want them throwing pitches when the game is already lost... unless the pen is already murdered and you need them to just soak up outs. The SP is gonna be babied far more than any reliever simply because the starter is more important to the team innings-wise over the season the vast majority of the time. Then the playoffs start and it all reverses into RPs being ridden into the ground at the first sign of trouble
  23. not on the edges though... either way, Kirk just went fishing ... usually has a better eye. Good to get 1 back though, he was dealing with the heater.
