  1. Guaranteed the scorecard will be posted and bitched about to high heaven tomorrow
  2. It's definitely a higher variance pen. If ya look at each guy, they all have strengths, and all have weaknesses too. It sucks when all the weaknesses seem to show up at the same time.
  3. I lift some after the 2nd walk... it was clear he had no control at all. Thing is, hes the guy. Right now, rightly or wrongly, hes going to be the guy called on in the 9th the majority of the time. Unless they decide to give him a bit of a breather in a setup role to try and get his game back... hes gonna be the guy. I think one of the real problems is not using him for 7 days at time... yeah gonna be a bit rusty. Get him in there a bit more to keep him in a flow and rhythm.
  4. If they want to bring up a guy who walks more hitters than we can count....sure.
  5. To be fair, the Dodgers outclass every team in the league. They have HoF talents in the first 3 spots in the order, a HOF starter who's not even their best because their best starter is also one of those HOF talents on the top 3 of the batting order. The pen is legit. Beating the Dodgers is a monumental task when they're at their worst...let alone when things are going their way. That said... its almost like the Jays were playing with a "deer in the headlights" look, kinda like they were just there to see the Dodgers play amd see what happens. That's probably largely a made up construct, but I didnt get the feeling like the Jays were up for the series and were on their back foot the whole time.
  6. Fluharty gonna be lining up for a BJ from the rest of the pen after this shitshow. Except Varland and Little.
  7. 13 f***ing walks given up by Jays pitching today ....
  8. Varland gonna be the new closer next game.
  9. Fluharty gonna save the day ... If any of you believe in the power of prayer, now would be the time to start
  10. this inning alone... 3 strikes 15 pitches.
  11. Dodger's dont even need to bring bats to the box... just go stand there until he walks you
  12. Hoffman has to come out, this is ridiculous
  13. Just... wow. Hoffman couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat today
  14. San Diego just beat Boston so... there's that at least
  15. What is Kirk looking for.,.. holy god .. takes 92 right down the middle. Straw and Kirk both that inning.. my god boys swing that frigging stick!
  16. Every reliever today just keeps on walking guys.... all these free bases you'd think this was a Yankees clubhouse party
  17. I can't really guess either. Doesnt seem to be any convicted rapists or felons on the team to my knowledge.
  18. The best hitter in baseball never gets benched. His OPS against Lefties is higher than Barger's is against RHP
  19. The amount of rockets he sends all over the field that end up as outs, it's pretty okay he ends up with a double every once in a while on one that would typically be caught. xba was only .220
  20. range at 2b is just as important as range at SS, it's just the arm that isn't as big a deal
  21. I see where you're going with that, but a "Shersy" is a slang name for a female fitting sports jersey. Wanna think about that every time ya call your dog?
  22. The fact that nodody has mentioned the guy who brought "bush party" back into mainstream lexicon is a travesty. Monkeys don't get cramps!
  23. Manoah at New Hamphsire tonight: 3IP, 64 pitches 36 strikes . 3 BB, 2K, 2 ER. 5 hits.
  24. Yeah, realistically they're in a good place. top 10-ish D with a clear top 5, or top 2-ish offense depending on the metric people look at and that's about as solid as it gets to work from. SP could use a boost down the stretch, but I think the pen is in a pretty great place.
