In fact, a good analogy would be ... a sinker(hard) and splitter(soft) have more drop and less run, whereas a 2 seam fastball(hard) and changeup(soft) have more run, less drop. Though a really good changeup still has a lot of drop

No, a splitter is basically a different kind of changeup. It has similar action to a sinker (2 seam fastball) in that they both have arm side sink and run, but the splitter will be about 10 mph slower and won't run nearly as much, but should drop more.

Yeah he's gonna be a week away though. His first rehab game is tonight and he might be with Buffalo by Friday. I doubt they'd rush him back with no rehab PAs straight to an everyday role

That's fair. He definitely should have taken the first pitch after a 4 pitch walk to Pillar. I mean, like, do you know how s***** pitches have to be for Pillar to walk? Let alone on 4 straight....

Yeah, though both need to be at higher levels before getting remotely excited. Clemens is 23 and Noda is 22, which is too old for Lansing, even though it's their first year of full season ball. A step up to Dunedin or even New Hampshire would be needed to make the relevant prospects
