  1. Well that sucks, exclusive licensing is never good for the consumer. Upper Deck has been the exclusive licensee for the NHL for nearly 10 years now and the innovation has virtually stopped, along with higher prices every year for the same crap.
  2. Agreed. “Weird” Al Yankovic is one of the best to ever do it.
  3. Quite honestly it just looks to me like his timing is off slightly. I have no problems with Vlad being more of a spray hitter than a dead pull hitter, the world knows he can yank any pitch on the inner half out of any park and you can see they pitch him differently because of it so he has to be able to handle the outer half without pulling. So far he's done fine with that approach. Hell, he took one oppo taco to Right centre in Fenway and that ain't a cheap HR. In fact the has 11 oppo HRs this year so far so I'm very much okay with that type of approach. Semien has to sellout to the pull side to hit for power. Vlad doesn't.
  4. Alleged. However, some text messages and such of hers kinda made here out to be ... less than completely truthful in her accusations. So, you have a person alleging assault, but at the same time having text messages on her phone stating she is inviting rough sex and wanting to get money from him in a settlement. Does that excuse him if he went past their verbal agreements on what was allowed? No, but it does cast doubt on whether what he did actually did go outside the bounds of the agreed upon rough sex boundaries. I'm not in the courtroom obviously but when she left things out of the declaration, they get found out, it casts doubt on her credibility, and thus it's only natural to question the validity of her accusations.
  5. Was I the only one that wanted Cleveland to change their name to the Steamers?
  6. NO chance we even make the wildcard with this kind of garbage bullpen usage so I guess we won't have to worry about that.
  7. If there's a hard floor, then the cap should also be a hard cap. Seems that mandating a floor of spending doesnt go hand in hand with just penalties for going over, unless the penalties are severe enough to stop teams from going over. Personally, if you're going to mandate a hard floor and NOT go with a hard cap, then the penalties need to not just be dollars, they need to be penalized draft picks too.
  8. Not to mention that he won with half the current roster as his players when they were in the minors.
  9. Also, wtf Jack Morris... imitating an Asian accent while talking about Ohtani, ON A BROADCAST... is he seriously so dumb?
  10. Playoffs are still in mind for next season though. Can't always be trading for 2 month rentals That said, Montoyo's bullpen and pitching management in general this year is a complete disaster. He constantly makes poor decisions on when to remove starters, which relievers to bring in when .. .it's like he's just throwing darts at a board and going with whoever's name it lands on.
  11. This team has what, the 4th best run differential in baseball, yet we keep losing these tight games because Chuck doesn't know how to manage a f***ing pen. Brutal.
  12. Dolis gives me a f***ing headache everytime he's on the mound. Attaboy Charlie, way to put in our worst option when the game is on the line. Good job
  13. No s***. Words I never thought I’d hear on a Jays broadcast….”Teoscar Hernandez comes into the game defensively….”
  14. Not like you couldn't DFA Valera and lose 0 sleep over it.
  15. Not gonna lie, I really like the HR jacket thing. Ya it's a bit cheesy, but it's such an easy way to create some chemistry.
  16. He's just trying to silver lining a bad scenario. In almost no universes is a comp pick better than a known quantity. Yeah, it COULD be, but it's not the likely scenario. I'm glad he has the confidence in his drafting, but that's just hoping to make the best of a bad situation.
  17. Damn. They'll just call up some scrub from AA and he'll pitch like Glasnow anyways, but it sucks for him.
  18. From 2010-2018 Votto only hit 7 IF flies. The Jays have more than that in daily BP.
  19. I understand your reasoning, but Manoah in the pen vs Stripling? Wouldn't you rather have Manoah as the starter in that scenario?
  20. Dang, outfield defense when the rosters expand just took a hit.
  21. I'll never say the Rays rotation is garbage, they just sprinkle faerie dust on whomever they acquire and they instantly become something nobody thought possible, then proceed to trade them for elite prospects. Someone in Tampa sold their soul... for real.
  22. Value of wins takes on a new meaning when you're on an upward trajectory. Adding 5 wins is pretty meaningless when you're a 65-70 win team, but adding 5 wins when you're an 87-ish win team is pretty darn valuable. And, no I'm not saying Berrios will add 5 wins this season, that's pretty much impossible given the season is more than half over, but the overall point remains true. Wins added to get above 87 wins are far more valuable than adding wins to get above 70.
  23. Probably but I think the ceiling on Biggio is higher because of his power potential, Madrigal barely hits doubles, he's a slappy singles guy.
  24. Well Kimbrel just got dealt to the White Sox, so that's 1 more option unavailable
  25. Not quite the same, Scherzer likely wasn't waiving his no trade to come to Toronto, so... moot point.
