Convicted rapists let out of prison disagree.
  2. By fWAR Romano isn't even as good as David Phelps this season.
  3. Had to make room for Mayza.
  4. Here's the details: Here's a breakdown of the deal, according to Passan: The length of the deal could be eight, 13, 16 or 18 years. the deal will last at least eight years (including 2022) and guarantee Rodríguez $210 million, but it can max out at 18 years and $470 million The guaranteed portion of the deal runs through 2029, but Seattle must either pick up or decline a club option at the end of the '28 season. Rodríguez's placement in AL MVP balloting (wins and finishes) will determine whether the club option will be for eight or 10 years, and the value will be between $200 million and $350 million. The guaranteed value of the deal will be $320 million if the Mariners pick up the option. If the club option is declined after 2028, Rodríguez can exercise a player option after '29 that will be worth $90 million over five years. If both the club option and player option are declined, Rodríguez would become a free agent at the age of 29 in the 2029-30 offseason. Also, full no trade clause.
  5. I bet the massive gap is due to options years or some sort of opt out. Like the guaranteed portion probably takes him though age 28 or something and then either club options or Opt-out takes place. Remainder of the contract after that point is probably the 250million difference.
  6. What a coincidence! Just like it will be a complete coincidence when suddenly 3 or 4 out of 5 of their starters are left handed.
  7. What wizardry is this?! Nice play Chappy
  8. Damn, ripped it right at em…
  9. Not everyday you see a 3-4-3 out at 1st.
  10. Are they saying Booooo or Sawamuuuuuuura ?
  11. I kinda get why the pitching coach is covering his mouth, but….the translator?
  12. I’m hooked.
  13. wow, got a cookie and missed it.
  14. if Vlad sees another fastball this AB ill be shocked
  15. Was just gonna say, they should probably just walk Springer and pitch to mr Anti-clutch Guerrero.
  16. I'm so glad Tapia in on this team. Legit.
  17. To be fair, Gausman's delivery time to the plate can be measured with a sundial.
  18. Definitely seems to have switch up to an "all or nothing" approach. Looking to murder the baseball every swing and take the occasional walk.
  19. I just threw up in my mouth at the mere thought.
  20. Can we have a separate game for the next 2 nights for how many Boston Infielders get killed by line drives because they suck?
  21. And because I know everyone here was dying to know about the Trevor Bauer appeal.. here ya go: "The appeal of Bauer’s suspension started May 23 and now is expected to last until November, [bauer’s lawyer Shawn] Holley told the court. The appeal is heard intermittently, but Holley said she is “working full-time” on proceedings that she said involve “voluminous” evidence and could include as many as 22 witnesses, only four of whom have completed testimony before an independent arbitrator."
  22. And Eovaldi and Vasquez. Dount they offer QO's to all of them so at best they might be looking at 2 picks coming their way for losing a 3rd of their starting lineup and arguably their best pitcher.
  23. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Also, saw an article in the Sun today, Stroman did have Gibbons blocked because he thought it was a fake account. He's unblocked now.
  24. I dont think he wouldve made 2nd even if he did run out of the box, the RF had the ball about 3.5 seconds after it left the bat. Fastest home to 1st time in the majors right now is about 4.2 seconds, so even had he run hard out of the box, the fielder wouldve had the ball before the fastest players in ball even got to first.
