Well, you think you adapt well, but you really don't overall. Begrudgingly accepting that change is taking place is not the same as realizing that the change is necessary and successfully adapting to it. It's not really your fault though, it's physiology and all about the brains neural pathways. The older you are, the more "set" those pathways are and fewer new connections are capable of being made so in general, old people do NOT adapt well to change because their brain literally cannot handle it the same way it could when the brain was younger and capable of forming new connections. This is why keeping your brain young and more "flexible" is very important. By the way, the above is a very simplistic explanation and it's far more detailed and complicated, and there are, of course, exceptions in small percentages of the population like most things.

Vest, the pitcher who started the massive inning, is one of their regular pen arms. My guess is that Turnbull, Wisler and Vest were supposed to get through 5 innings combined then see the kids like Brieske, De Jesus, Higginbotham to go 1 inning each in the last half.
