  1. Yeah probably. My guess would be somehwere between 10/275 and 10/300
  2. Kirk in his first day at camp, the other guys played his walk up music as he arrived.
  3. Pop and Pearson still have minor league options remaining, so they can still be sent across the lake to start the year if Richards has a good spring and looks competant again. Richards and White are the optionless hurlers, but there's room for both of them on the active roster if they both show well. There's lots of pen options if anyone falters or gets hurt though. I really hope one of the lefties makes the Jays have some hard pen decisions ahead of them. I have little faith in Mayza as the only lefty
  4. I think they'd keep him in a long man pen role before DFA, since he's part of the starter depth as well. He'd have to be really really really bad in spring to be let go
  5. They're whiter than the pack of saltines in my pantry. This lineup is in desperate need of some lentils.

Very much so. Ekholm is a biiiig step up defensively

Skinner has been solid, it's Campbell that sucks. But I think lots of their goaltending is more s***** defense giving up way too many grade A scoring opportunities rather than the goaltenders being actually terrible.
  8. For pointing out racism the Jays blatant whitewashing of the roster?
  9. Look at their lineup this year, it's about as white as it can get. Berrios, Espinal, Vlad, Garcia and Kirk are all we have left. Lopez might need to make the bench just to help offset the whiteness. Oh and Kikuchi... does he count?
  10. How did Pearson look today? I missed everything but the 9th inning. His pitch 3d looks good, and looks like he was 97-99 and hit 101. I've got a semi right now, did they eye test back up the data?

McDavid is kind of on another level right now... last 5 games 10 goals, 6 assists and a +9. 2 of the goals were shorthanded.
  12. https://fb.watch/j0N0LP3nXp/ 20 second strikeout. Thing of beauty!
  13. Is it wrong that im hoping for a pitch clock violation with a full count right now? LOL
  14. Will probably be seeing alot of Lopez, Lukes, Biggio, Horwitz, and the bubble relievers. The Jays want to put their best foot forward right from the get go and have their best 26 on the roster from day 1 so those bench roles and pen arms will be damn important. Richards is definitely on the hot seat IMO and if Pearson or one of the lefty non-roster invitees makes an impression, there's no reason not to punt Richards and go with one of them if Richards doesnt impress. Injuries of course will also happen so they want to know real quick who option 1, 2 and 3 are out of Buffalo for the pen without question.
  15. Damn right. The annual Biggio hope article
  16. OPS of .550 on the way. But still positive value thanks to his great D
  17. Weirldy enough though, he's not wrong. It doesnt seem like it when you watch him, but his sprint speed is 81st percentile and he's a really good baserunner. He's just one of those guys who has absolutely no flashiness to his game and always seems like he's just another dude but he provides so much more value than the eye test can see. Is he suddenly going to hit .300 with a 150 wRC+ ? Hell no. But 110-120 is definitely achievable with solid but unspectacular D and versatility.
  18. Some lip service for Biggio early in spring: https://www.mlb.com/news/cavan-biggio-looks-to-reclaim-regular-role-with-blue-jays?game_pk=719331 The highlights: "“The athleticism that I have can help this team win, not only at second base and first base,” Biggio said. “Talking to Schneids in the offseason, I said, ‘Listen, I know I’m a good outfielder and I know I can be better than what I’ve shown.’” This defensive side is where Biggio’s value begins, offering a fine baseline. His potential to be something greater, though, lies in his offense. Biggio’s first two seasons offer a 159-game sample in which he hit .240, reached base at a .368 clip and had 24 home runs. He’s spent the past two seasons looking for that on-base number again, battling several nagging injuries along the way, but his path back begins in one place. “My swing has to be right. I’ve been working on that a lot this Spring Training and offseason with guys like Victor Martinez,” Biggio said. “I’m picking their brains, hitting with him extra, staying late. When it’s all said and done, you look at my first two years and you see where I was really doing well, I was able to drive the ball. I was able to hit home runs. That thought goes into the pitcher’s mind when I step in the box.”
  19. Musgrove broke his toe lifting weights. I guess we should ban players from the weight room since that's clearly another place where an injury is waiting to happen.
  20. Apparantly never, its brand new. Pitch clock is to blame for everything.
  21. No, what he means is, that exact scenario was already happening countless times, so to pretend like its some new thing caused by the pitch clock is f***ing stupid.
  22. They did for the first two Jays hitters... weird.
