Yeah, Biggio is just guessing right now instead of having a certain pitch and location in mind. He took a rip at the first one and hit it hard and foul, then I think he just guessed he wasn’t going to get a fastball again and decided he wasn’t swinging. It’s a bad approach.
Hitters need to keep it simple. You plan should be to swing at every pitch, until your eyes tell you not to. If you do that, you only have 1 decision to make. If you go up there thinking you’re going to wait and see, you have to decide to swing or to take. Two decsions. If you go up thinking take, you then have to change your mind to get into motion, which takes a split second of extra time, and you can end up late.
