  1. Virtually any team that's been crap for the last 6 seasons will have some great young talent in the pipeline. Last time they did this it was a 14 year run of crap, followed by a 5 year window of being decent, then back to 6 years of crap.
  2. No doubt. It's just introducing another wrinkle into the stable of arms. I really dont think a 6 man rotation is ideal... and if the rotation has sorted itself out AND is fully healthy, Ryu just doesn't fit anywhere. He'd basically be a 20 million dollar long man out of the pen.
  3. Pretty much correct. At best they're gonna get 2 months + any playoff games out of Green. Lets also not forget Ryu is probably coming back along roughly the same timeline.
  4. SSS variance. DRS has Teo at 5 runs saved, Varsho at 4. OAA has Teo as 1 out above average, Varsho at 0. Right now the numbers suggest Teo is the 2nd best RF in MLB defensively. I think we all know that's not the case.
  5. Has to be a pitcher transaction if a pitcher is coming up wouldnt it? cant carry more than 13 arms.
  6. Full story with... about that same level of detail that Carlos provided.... Pearson is set to join the Blue Jays in Toronto on Monday and could be recalled from Triple-A Buffalo ahead of the big club's series opener versus the White Sox, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports. The Blue Jays appear to have abandoned developing Pearson as a starter due to injuries having cost him extensive time in each of the previous three seasons, but the power right-hander still possesses the type of premium velocity that could make him a major weapon near the back end of the bullpen. He's flashed that potential thus far at Buffalo, pitching to a 2.16 ERA and 16:5 K:BB across 8.1 innings over his eight appearances. Once he's formally activated, Pearson could start out in a lower-leverage role out of the bullpen, but it's not difficult to envision him emerging as one of the top setup men for closer Jordan Romano if he can stay healthy and keep his free passes in check.
  7. The other lefty option for cleanup would be Belt. Though I tend to agree that Varsho shouldn’t be hitting cleanup. I see him more in the 6 spot
  8. Yeah, and all 3 most impactful calls went against the Jays.
  9. Love the story, but it’s doubtful this guy with a lifetime .696 OPS in the minors is going to be relevant in any way. 45 HR in 13 minor league seasons. Must be good defensively to last this long with a pool noodle bat
  10. April 23 Vladdy - 1 Point - Jonn Bichette - 1 Point - Chapman - 1 Point - Varsho - 2 Points - Springer - 2 Points - Kirk - 3 Points - Kiermaier - 3 Points - Jansen - 4 Points - JohnHavok Merrifield - 5 Points - JaysAllMighty Off the bench: 10 Points -
  11. 0 people claim projections are infallible.
  12. Damn! Took a flyer and it paid off
  13. That was a great idea by Biggio, 2 feet to the left and he's probably on 1st. Hell as it was he was only beat by less than half a step
  14. DAmn, good pitch, just got under it
  15. oooh boy. Belt with the sacks packed and 2 outs.... 94 mph fastball or 80 mph changeup....
  16. Marinaccho... 4 seamer (54%), change (35%) sweeper (11%)
  17. Win probability right now... Jays 50.1, Yankees 49.9. Flip a coin
  18. If Cole isnt injured, this is a bit of a surprising pull. He's been nails all day
  19. Nice piece of hitting there by Varsho
  20. Yeah, was just one of those things where even if it was a slight push, it looked to me like he was going to lose contact either way. No camera angle was going to be conclusive to show a true push
  21. Damn, that was a risky steal. Wouldve paid off too but he went in a tad hot
  22. Bruised right wrist for Espy... i'd be really surprised if that doesn't turn into a fracture when he gets an MRI
  23. He's dealing. No real mistake pitches I can think of.
