  1. Just pointing out to the drooling masses that if 4 out saves are the measuring stick of a closer, as his comment seemed to indicate, then Romano is just fine in his own right.
  2. Never heard of Hicks before he was traded. I literally just fell off the turnip truck a week ago. Jesus
  3. Romano has 2 4-out saves this season. Hicks has 0.
  4. Schneiders first two major league exit velos are 106.2 and 105.
  5. From how he talks, it sounds like he has a great approach to hitting. If I can’t kill it, I don’t swing until two strikes. Logical
  6. Damn. The Schneider era begins with a bang!
  7. Raimel Tapia has been signed by the Rays to a minor league deal. Countdown to Tapia becoming a 5+ WAR OF …
  8. Plays a lot like Brett Lawrie used to, except with more talent
  9. That’s why they have other testing they do to clear a player to play when they are symptom free. They do baseline testing every spring, and after a concussion stint on the IL, they redo those tests, compare results against baseline and that can show a deficit in information processing, indicating that the brain has not yet fully recovered, even in the absence of symptoms.
  10. Yeah good point. but MLB does have strict return-to-play guidelines on concussions along with every players baseline neurocognitive testing on file to compare current tests they undertake when on the concussion DL even if they don't complain of any symptoms. They take new baseline tests every spring.
  11. you dont think he would have been cleared of that long ago with the concussion protocols that exist now?
  12. Regarding Davis Schneider, regardless of who gets the boot for him, lets all agree that he f***ing earned this promo. He's been having a great season but took it to another level entirely in July. 26 walks to 16 Ks. 6 doubles, 1 triple, 6 HRs .348/.540/.725 for an OPS of 1.265 He forced the Jays hand and good for him.
  13. Could never get enough of those perfect throws, seemed like every single one was a chest high bullet with no effort required at all by the 1b to catch
  14. Davis Schneider getting his contract selected to the Jays tomorrow according to mlbtraderumours.
  15. It is, but it’s not really true. Especially when he just went at Schneider the other day about Ohtani. Dude has as much fire as anyone. Varsho…yeah, pretty bland
  16. Yup. Also another major league regular in Moreno.
  17. Orelvis 3-4 with a walk tonight. Line drive double to left, bouncing single through the SS-3B gap(Horowitz thrown out at the plate on that play since the Bisons 3B coach has a windmill just like Rivera), then beat out a chopper up the middle for an IF hit.
  18. Jays signed Rowan Wick to a minor league deal. He’s in Buffalo
  19. He’s exactly what they wanted Espinal to be. But Espinal had grand ideas of turning himself into more of a power threat and ended up nerfing himself into the ground.
  20. Really? I’m 100% sure he’s not capable of learning anything further. His brain has reached it’s capacity
  21. Romano but he’s hurt right now
