  2. Ward to the IL with facial fractures. s*****
  3. Yeah, cuz batting avridge is soooooo important
  4. I doubt Yimi is even in play tomorrow after two days in a row, so I don’t get why all the panties are in a bunch over this. Same people whining that he’s not available tomorrow are the same people who whine they don’t want him used unless everyone else is dead. Well, he’s probably not pitching 3 days in a row even though his pitch counts were low. Available relievers for tomorrow are Mayza, Cabrera, Pearson, Swanson and…………………….White. Could probably even use Jackson and Richards again for the last out of an inning or something, though you wouldn’t really want to. Berrios pitches 6+ and none of this matters.
  5. And the second half contest is over…lol
  6. Agreed. There’s been flashes of the good stuff but overall it’s still very 2022 Kikuchi-esque
  7. I mean maybe you give credit to Kirk for that frame but there’s also the precedent today of this ump being bad at calling strikes.
  8. I wonder if Manoah should start experimenting with developing a cutter in this upcoming offseason. Feels like a pitch that would benefit him greatly
  9. Yup. He’ll get his hacks in next time up for sure
  10. But they’re still useful elsewhere. It’s when the elsewhere become crappy that you really start to worry.
  11. Feel for Springer there. First pitch painted, then a garbage called strike…snadwhiched between 2 walks.
  12. Sure. Says the idiot fan. f***ing moron
  13. It’s not so much the fanbase…but at the same time it is. Look what happened to attendance in 2019 when the jays were in their third year of the rebuild, 3rd straight sub-.500 season after the two playoff years in 2015/16. Avg attendance of 21606. Avg in 2016 was 41880, 2017 was 39554. I don’t have tv or streaming numbers from that season so maybe those tell a better story but I wouldn’t bet on it. Attendance was basically cut in half in just the third year after two playoffs runs. That’s what happens in Toronto. this season is averaging 36828. Rogers can’t let their marketing tool fall into extended obscurity the way others can in order to get top 1-5 draft picks thrown at them along with competitive balance picks year after year after year. The reality is the Jays brass has to make do with their first round picks being in the last half of the every round, scoring in international fee agency, losing their second rounder if they need to grab a free agent and pulling off trades. There’s never going to be a 3-5 year period where they pick in the top 1-5 in 4 of those years
  14. You can you just have to use the edit button, then advanced.
  15. Nah, would probably only want to give up arms for arms. Looking at the precedent you might see something like Kloffenstein and Cooke? Probably higher than that. Depends on how they feel about other guys, but don’t get hung up on a # ranking on a prospect list somewhere
  16. Alex Cobb. He’s a full salad. Kyle Garlick, Jake burger, David Dahl, David Fry(pretty sure he’s French), Jake Lamb, Rene Pinto, Mike trout…none are vegetables, but they could make a decent buffet
  17. For sure, Ohtani was just the easiest name to associate with significant additional spending.
  18. See? Just like they drew it up. Easy stuff from Jimi
  19. Oh lord …. I can feel peoples heads exploding right now
  20. Something might be wrong with Romano here, his command is never this bad.
  21. Romano struggling big time. I hope Schneider has someone warming
  22. Romanos sliders are not good tonight. Every one of them is a meatball
  23. Not a huge deal, just curious as to why he wasn’t ready for a fastball in a 2-0 count. I get not every pitcher gives in these days, but ya gotta be ready for it
  24. Yeah bad call there, but why wasn’t Vlad ready for the 94 4seamer down the middle the pitch before?
