  1. This does nothing but confirm the legendary status of Spanky. When a guy creates a burner account just to flame you, you know you've made it.
  2. Vlad's problem is not that he doesn't have a consistent game plan, his game plan if very consistent. The problem is his consistent game plan is f***ing stupid.
  3. Baltimore has a track record of spending so poorly it's almost understandable. By the end of their most recent spending sprees from 2012(81 million) to 2018 (142 million) they were even top 10 in a league in spending at one point. records during those years??? 93 wins, 85 wins, 96 wins, 81, 89, 75 and 47. you read that right, by 2018 the Orioles paid 140+ million dollars for a 47 win team. Won a WC game, lost in the DS, won the DS, lost the CS and lost a WC game over those 7 seasons. The more the O's spent, the worse they got. 2019 payroll? - 61 million, 28th in the league.
  4. What a joke. owners like him should be ashamed. I'm not saying everyone has to be like Cohen either but FFS crying poor like this is such a ******** line. Orioles were 4th in baseball in profits last season according to Forbes. "In between the Mariners(1st - 83.8 million) and Athletics (5th - 62.2 million) as the teams with the highest profits in the league were the Giants ($74.9 million), Red Sox ($71.6 million) and Baltimore Orioles ($64.7 million). That's right kids, the blueprint in MLB right now is to be terrible, take money in profit sharing from other teams, get awarded a load of small market comp picks, don't try to retain any talent you accidentally come across using that system while crying poor, even though you're pocketing 10's of millions of dollars in the process. Even spending HALF of those profits to support payroll could make a huge difference.
  5. I know I’m a bit late here but are people legitimately criticizing Schneider removing a pitcher who just came off TJ surgery recovery and rehab a few weeks ago at 83 pitches with a massive lead, or is it just weak trolling?
  6. I'm very curious myself how they plan to trade a free agent in the offseason
  7. Kikuchi has 13 starts so far this season where he’s let in 1 ER or fewer. That leads MLB.
  8. all the wannabe trolls out there need to take notes. THIS is a high grade troll post
  9. 27 hits, 21 walks in 96 PA…only 10 Ks. That’s impressive, small sample or not. Not a ton of power shown but that OBP is ridiculous
  10. Maybe he just needs glasses.
  11. Geography also plays a role. Very similar story happened in my hometown growing up, 15 years old pregnant from an 18 year old. Thing was, it was rural Saskatchewan where people and their families grow up together their entire lives, and those two families lived a mile part on farms. Ride the same bus to school everyday, help each other with farm work every year, those 2 dating wasn’t even blinked at. At the same time though, just the number of an age gap isnt a be all end all….there’s a massive difference in an 18 year old and a 13 year old vs a 23 year old and an 18 year old when it comes to so very many things in life.
  12. He had moments of course but was very good defensively overall.
  13. I said burro, not donkey
  14. He’s played 22 games total at 3b since the end of 2019. 119 total innings. Their statement is correct on the surface but since they failed to provide additional clarifying context in the number of games and innings he’s played there, it’s somewhat incomplete
  15. Maybe give him more than 25 PAs before moving him up but it’s not unrealistic to think they could get him up to Vancouver before seasons end. Never hurts to have another bat for the playoffs. Peyton Williams has been smoking everything since he came back from injury too on a side note. .364/.421/.576 in August over 37 PAs. 2 HR, 4 walks, 6 Ks.
  16. I think Espinal should be deposited in the nearest AAA affiliate the second Bichette is back. All I’m saying is when an org identifies a kid as not being good enough for a certain position that they move him off that position early in his minor league career, there’s probably a good reason for it. That doesn’t mean he wouldn’t have made that plate last night, maybe he would have. It’s just a silly statement to think since Espinal made an error last night they should have started the other guy who hasn’t played the position regularly in 4 years. f*** Espinal and the burro he rode in on though…guy can’t be gone soon enough
  17. Teams are/were very concerned with the swing and miss in his game and the lack of projection on any other tool. Average runner, average arm, swings and misses a lot. BA has the hit tool at 40, power at 55. If he cleans up the swing and miss he could end up being a steal.
  18. Gillick also knew he had players in house who could come very close to replacing what he had in McGriff and Fernandez with Olerud and Manny Lee. Lee was every bit as good defensively at SS but a step down with the bat, Olerud was initially a step down with the bat in 1991 and 1992 but turned the page nicely in 1993. I doubt that trade ever happens without Olerud and Lee being ready to step in
  19. Oh, you mean Ole Sparky, the electric chair.
  20. This is misleading. While most states have a legal age of consent of 16, most of the also have the Romeo and Juliet laws that company this age that would only allow sexual activity if the two are close in age, usually within 2-4 years of the persons age. Utah, unsurprisingly, has the largest gap with a minimum consent age of 16 and would allow a 10 year gap before it would be considered in appropriate and be able to have charges filed.
  21. The last time the Yankees were under .500 at this point of a season was 1995. Jeter was about to be called up for the final time, Boone was in AA, decent chunk of their current roster hadn’t even been born yet…
  22. Electronic chair?
  23. How is that even allowed, that’s bloody hilarious
  24. Probably not vs lefties, but when he’s hitting and baserunning like this…hard to argue against it
  25. I generally agree with your take, but I also really enjoy when a post like this ages horribly, and it only takes like 5 minutes
