  1. I think Schneider hits a double here
  2. It’s almost like hitting is much easier when you swing at pitches that aren’t on the border of the zone…who woulda thought
  3. Hey look at that, KK swings at a good pitch to hit, gets good result.
  4. Clement, swings at borderline pitch…
  5. Some really bad swings so far through 2 innings. Springer, Schneider, Varsho….all swinging at borderline/bad pitches
  6. It’s like we all raped puppies in previous lives and this is our punishment.
  7. Ah f***…just realized Angel Hernandez is the HP ump. Might not be able to watch this game much longer
  8. Even though it was a loud out…at least he finally swung at the right pitch with the right intentions.
  9. Didn’t hit it squarely, only 95 off the bat
  10. Excellent approach by Vlad for a change, unlucky
  11. Bad approach by Springer….no reason to swing at outer edge fastballs in a 2-0 count
  12. No, but they should. I think you said that earlier. Laika provided a very basic beginning of what you’d need to do to make one, although that would really only tell you how much better than league average a guy is from one year to the next at stealing total bases, it wouldn’t take success rate into account or provide any insight into the run values associated In fact, the more I think about it, SB+ really isn’t all that important in the grand scheme of things
  13. I’ve only been to a few but…going by experience and then reputation… San Fran, Pittsburgh, San Diego, Colorado, Seattle and Minnesota would be my top picks.
  14. That’s what the SB+ metric would be for. To compare the years to each other as to what was exceptional in one year vs the next. Thats where the + comes in.
  15. Not really a name on any lists anywhere but OF/IF Devonte Brown was just moved up to New Hampshire from Vancouver. Probably temporary with the shuffling they had to do with the injuries to Bo and Chappy, but hard not to root for the guy. He was passed on in the 2022 draft after his college career was over and the Jays were the only team to make him an offer. He's 23, and 5'9" 207. Sounds like the OF version of Davis Schneider physically. Not an outstanding year at Vancouver but he does have 14 HRs. Went 1-3 with a double, walk and a K in his first game at AA Can't be anything but impressed by a guy to make AA in his second MiLB season after being a non drafted player. He's played all 3 OF positions and even a bit of 2b and 1b. Heplayed some 3b in college but not yet in MiLB.
  16. At this rate the playoffs won't be not easy to maybe make about 50% of the time
  17. Yea Bo is an anomaly for sure. His ability to put bat to ball in weird ways is pretty unique. He's a guy who's overall value is very much tied to his babip. Once that goes, he goes.
  18. Maybe. Though their hitting with RISP was off the charts high in the first few months
  19. Yeah. Point is, hitting with RISP isn’t something that is consistent. Look at the Rangers for the flip side of the RISP fluctuations right now.
  20. Didn’t Buck say they’re hitting over .300 with RISP in august?
  21. JP Morosi just said on the Fan 590 that it's 50/50 that Vlad returns as a Jay next season. i didnt catch his rationale or explanation but ... really?
  22. Sure lower win percentage teams can grab them but most of those teams aren't all that eager to take on additional money either.
  23. Outragous!
  24. A smart manager that has no pinch runners left except Belt, who might not even be available?
  25. Is that one of the very few balls we've seen this year that would have been a HR last year?
